determining role.

• Family is the first to affect a child. It has an immense


influence in the individual.

Findings: A Positive Correlation was observed between the


academic achievement and family environment. It indicates
that as family environment increases the academic
performance of student increases

Parents offered help, there will be positive/negative effects on


students’ academic.

Findings: Parental involvement per se does not result in higher


academic outcomes. Instead , there are very specific family
characteristics that promote high achievement.

• Strongest factor is the relationship with parents

• Findings: Has no effect; However, family environment has


effect on social adjustment. It suggest the need for parents to
pay attention on their on their relationship with children.
