WHAT ARE VEDAS & THEIR TYPES
 Veda is a Sanskrit word from the root, vid meaning “to
know”. Thus, veda means “knowledge” or “wisdom”.
 The Vedas are the most ancient Hindu and yogic texts.

 The Vedas are a collection of teachings, hymns, rituals,


and poems.
 The four Vedas are:
VARIOUS ASPECTS OF MANAGEMENT
 Financial management:
The Vedas repeatedly call upon everyone to earn and maximize
“wealth”.
• One shall have prosperity.
• Oblations are offered to prosperity.
• Every man prays for wealth.

 Vedas mention about two types of wealth;


1. Prevalent wealth : “Vittam” {wealth that is already earned}.
2. Potential wealth : “Vedyam” {wealth to be earned hereafter}.

The Vedas contain reference to the following metals:


Bronze/Iron (Ayas), Iron (Syama), Gold (Suvarna), Tin (Trapu)
Silver (Rajata), Copper(Loha), Lead(Sisa)…
 Profitability management:
The Vedas declare that profits shall be earned only through fair
means.
 Capital structure Planning:

The Vedas emphasize that one shall clear all debts.


They restrain taking debts from one tainted with sins.
 Knowledge management:

It is a challenging task to understand the real sources of knowledge.


They are being given a lot of recognition like participation in the top
management.
There are three knowledge factors to take place:
Prameya representing the object to be known.
Pramata denting the knower of the object.
Pramana indicating the means of knowledge.
PERSONALITY MANAGEMENT
 The predominant characteristic of one’s personality have five
types of personality traits, based on Vedic concept of “Panca
kosa”(Five sheaths):

 Only those actions that are free from blemishes are to be


done and not others.
KAIZEN
 It means continuous improvement :
[the never ending search for perfection].

 It is the Japanese technique for quality concept to make


more innovative things.

 It can be use anywhere, anytime, to check the quality of


particular entity.

 To improve the rites with new performance.
