Middle and Late Adolescent

Erikson identified two major crises

in adolescence. First is establishing
one’s identity.
Middle and Late Adolescent
Identity vs Confusion – Establishing
a clear personal identity is
important at this stage because
you need to be clear of who you
are.
Middle and Late Adolescent

What are your strength and

weaknesses? What are your likes
and dislikes?

competencies, identity confusion
or role diffusion happens.

opportunities to socialize and
establish peer relations restricts
chances of discovering self
because of limited experience.
Middle and Late Adolescent

recognize what you want, you limit
your opportunity to experience
things that allow you to know
yourself.
