Exercise

 Allow the CT access if necessary


 Display a board remote inventory
 Display the global inventory of your NE
 Make a hardware reset of the data base
in order to get the default configuration
of the NE (see Operator Handbook)
 Align the MIB according to the hardware
configuration

 The MIB describes all the managed


objects controlled by the system
 Any configuration modification will
immediately modify the MIB

1) Download  MIB management


2) Enter a name for the backup
3) Click on Backup
4) Wait for the message « Backup
successfully completed! »

 This operation is only allowed if the NE management states are the following:
 Supervision: supervised
 For Local NE: connected plug

 In NES:
1) Supervision  Files Administration
 MIB Copies
 Save to disk
2) Open in sequence folders to show the file to be saved
3) Select it and click Open
4) Select the path where to save in the file and click Open
5) Wait for the message « The selected MIB has been copied to A:\ »

MIB import
 This operation is only allowed if the NE management states are the following:
 Supervision: supervised
 For Local NE: connected plug

 In NES:
1) Supervision  Files Administration
 MIB Copies
 Load from disk
2) Select the path from which the configuration has to be copied
3) Search the file to be imported
4) Select it and click OK
5) Wait for the message « Package installed successfully »

MIB restore

1) Download  MIB management


2) Select the backup to restore
3) Click on Restore
4) Wait for the message « Restore
completed! »
5) Click on Activate
6) Wait for the message « MIB
activation completed! »
7) Wait for the CPU restart

Exercise

 Perform your own backup


 Export it to A:/
 Delete it in the 1320CT from the « NE
MIB management » window
 Remove (software) one board in the
« Equipment view »
 Import your backup from A:/
 Restore it
 Check that the board previously
removed is present
