Introduction Theory involved

A nanoparticle (or nanopowder or nanocluster or

nanocrystal) is a microscopic particle with at least one
dimension less than 100 nm.
Properties differ significantly compared with bulk
matter.
Relatively larger surface to volume ratio making them
more chemically reactive.
Wide band gap semiconductor-approximately of 3.3
electron volt. According to Beer Lambert’s Law, A α l and A α c
 Has ultraviolet filtering, catalytic and anti-bacterial ie A= € c l , where €=absorptivity of ZnO
properties. nanoparticles
c=sample concentration
Schematic of UV-visible spectroscopy l= path length
Also , A= - log 10 T , where T=transmittance
From Beer Lambert’s Law, we have € = A/(cxl)
