1. The company handles the work of land surveying, Soil investigations and rock drillings in hilly
terrains.

2. On the basis of the reports, the suggestions for the type of foundations to be given with the
respective bearing capacity are made.

3. They’ve served various private clients like L&T, DLF, etc. and also handle the works for
topographical investigations in tenders of metro projects.

About my work

We were working on the project of Delhi-Meerut RRTS Corridor from Ramp near
Shatabdi Nagar, Meerut to Modipuram Depot (km 64.10 to km 82.50).

Procedure
FIELD WORK:

 In the place of investigations, first the fill soil is removed and soil is dug to
check for the gas/electric pipelines.
 Then the boring is performed and SPT tests are conducted at suitable
intervals.
 The Undisturbed samples of soils are collected at various depths to check
for the in-situ properties. They were sealed with wax and transported right
away.
 The next day of boring, the water table level was checked.
Procedure

REPORT WORK:

 On the basis of the visual inspections of the soil at the time of boring, field
investigations, and the history of the region in which the investigation
takes place, an interim report is generated to help the construction work.
 This report is made to aid the planning procedure of the work and is a
rough estimate of the strength of the soil. On the basis of SPT values and
the correlations various deductions are made in compliance with the IS
CODE.
 Within a week the final report of the boreholes is completed and sent.

Procedure

LAB WORK:

 General tests like Direct Shear test, Tri-axial compression test, consolidation
test, permeability tests were performed on the various samples collected.
 Chemical tests too were performed on the soil to check for any potential
damage it could do to the concrete and to check for the properties of
water.
