 1 Introduction to HRC Products
Hot Rolled Coil (HRC)
HR Coil is one the most basic steel product which is produced from slabs as per following manufacturing process

Classification
HR Product can basically be classified by its composition of Carbon %
Low Carbon (C≤0.10%), Mid Carbon (0.10<C≤0.30%) High Carbon (C>0.30%)

End Usage
HR Products are used for diverse end usages, mainly for general construction structure, welding Structure,
Vessel structure, Automobile parts and Pipe making.

Hot Rolled Product Usage & Industry
HRC is used in diverse usages, the most common is for pipe making and rerolling, which
takes aver 80% of the total global HRC demand. Most common specs are SS400/SPHC for
Pipe making, SPHC,SAE1006/1008 for rerolling.

- Pipe Manufacturers
Usage : Construction pipes, water pipes, mechanical structural pipes
Specifications : JIS SS400, SPHC, SPHT1~4, STK 290/400/490

- Steel Structure
Usage : Steel structure, bridges, shipbuilding, automotive parts, automobiles
Specifications : JIS SS400/490/540, SM490 A/B/C, SM490YA/YB, SM520B/C

- Rerolling
Usage : Material used to reroll, manufacture CR, GI, GL
