TOEFL-BASED UEPT?
UNSOED English Proficiency Test which is based
on TOEFL models and questions.
To measure the level of English proficiency on
non-native speakers of UNSOED’s students.
It is required primarily by UNSOED as a
graduation requirement, for job purposes, further
studies, and etc.
What are measured?
Listening Comprehension
to demonstrate their ability to understand spoken English,
examinees must listen to various types of passage on a tape
recording and respond to multiple choice questions about the
passages. (50 questions : 35 minutes)
Reading Comprehension
to demonstrate their ability to understand written English,
examinees must answer multiple choice questions about the
ideas and the meaning of words in reading passages.
(50 questiosn : 55 minutes)
UEPT Scoring
UEPT is scored on scale of 217 to 677 points.
There is no passing score on UEPT. However,
UNSOED has its own UEPT score requirement of
400.

LISTENING COMPREHENSION
In this section of the test, you will have an
opportunity to demonstrate your ability to
understand conversation and talks in English.
There are three parts to this section.
Part A : SHORT DIALOGUES
Part B : LONG CONVERSATION
Part C : TALKS
Part A : SHORT DIALOGUES
In this part, you will hear short coversations
between two people. After each conversation,
you will hear a question about the
conversation. The conversation and questions
will not be repeated. After you hear a question,
read the four possible answers and choose
the best answer.

and I’d like the picture of my family over the sofa. What
do you think?
(man) I think they’ll look fine there. How about if you hold the
pictures while I hammer the nails into the wall?
