Approach & Methodology
Ministry of Rural development, Govt. of India (GoI) has issued guidelines for project identification,
appraisal and approval under the PMGSY scheme which needs to be adhered by JSRRDA
PIU to prepare proposal and forward it to District • Identification of Growth centres, Rural Hubs and marking alignment of
MRs, TRs, and MDRs for proposed rural road network development

We understand JSRRDA with PMGSY–II and other schemes envisages consolidation of State’s existing Rural
Road Network by upgradation of selected TRs and MLRs to improve its overall efficiency as a provider of
transportation services for people, goods and services. (selection based on economic potential and road’s
role in facilitating the growth of rural market centers and rural hubs).
