Today, women only make up an estimated 2% of the world’s maritime
workforce. And in this traditionally male dominated industry, our
company aims to increase gender diversity, and create a workplace
where women gets equal recognition based on their achievement,
potential and development, and ensure that they have effective
participation and equal opportunity in this field.
As of now, we have two women in our Operations Department and we
have been supporting and encouraging them to take more risks to
build their self confidence and improve their technical skill to better
contribute in our company’s growth.
While underway to NPC Malaya Power Plant for discharging, our
tanker barges encounters difficulties in navigating while passing by
Parola due to: 1) Fish pens around the area, and 2) Low water level,
these are the reasons why we require navigating during daylight only
to ensure the safety of our ships.
Our company’s yard is located alongside our office. This is where our
Operations Team conducts spot inspection upon ship’s arrival, get
supplies for their voyage, as well as bunkering and re-watering. Aside
from that, our tankers also stops/secures temporarily at Makati Yard
while awaiting daylight/favorable tide for safe navigation.
1. Can produce 45MW
2. Main costumer of Cepalco and Nestle
3. Shell costumer since 2010
4. Located at Brgy. Tablon, Cagayan de Oro
Our first voyage to MINERGY for discharging operation was last March
8-16, 2017, by M/T Phil Cebu, carrying 1,100kL at air FO plus. Prior
commencement of voyage, various activities were conducted at the
site, in preparation for the safe and successful delivery of product to
MINERGY.
Last October 2016, our technical staff, together with Phil Cebu Master,
conducted physical inspection/sounding of GMC Pier and shore line
to determine the actual depth of the water, and guarantee safe and
effective execution of mooring arrangement upon arrival of our ship at
MINERGY for discharging.
Berthing from anchorage to MINERGY mooring buoys, our ship enters
in between mooring buoy 1 and buoy 2 at a slow, steady and safe
approach, securing two mooring AFT lines with the two outer buoys to
avoid over drifting to Port and Stbd side, then finally dropping anchors
upon reaching 140Mtrs from AFT Stbd of the vessel to mooring buoy 2,
and 130Mtrs from AFT Port to mooring buoy 1.
