ALL ABOUT MARK JUSTINIANI
 Was born on April 25, 1966 at Bacolod City, Negros Occidental,
Philippines
 A multi-awarded artist in almost all-nation art competitions
 He was granted the much coveted Thirteen Artists Award by
Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) in 1994
 A well-traveled artist and has represented the Philippines in
various international conferences, workshops and exhibitions
in Japan, Denmark, Australia and USA
Life Events
 Took up painting at University of the Philippines on 1982.

 Actively protests art movements amid the intense political climate in the
Philippines.

 Became affiliated with collectives promoting socio-political causes in


art.

 Held his first solo exhibition at Kasimanwa, at the Hiraya Gallery in


Manila in 1993.

 Identified with lineage of Social Realism

 Artist- activist initiatives like Abay (Artista ng Bayan) and Sanggawa


(1994)

 Became part of the Salingpusa Art Group
