INTRODUCTION
RESEARCH BACKGROUND
• According National Center in USA for Learning Disabilities Dyslexia, Dysgraphia and
Dyscalculia are among the five most common types of learning disabilities around world
• From statistics we have found:
• Approximately fifteen out of 100 children in world are Dyslexic
• About 5 -20% students suffer from writing disabilities
• The percentage of the population with developmental dyscalculia is estimated to be
between 3-6 percent, or one in twenty individuals
OBJECTIVES & EXPECTED OUTCOMES
• Provide all screening tests in Sinhalese language for three learning disabilities and provide novel,
gamified intervention tests in Sinhalese language to overcome these disabilities by utilizing latest
technologies
• To detect students (aged between 7-9) who are undergoing learning disabilities in speaking, writing
and solving math problems due to dysgraphia, dyscalculia and dyslexia; and aid them to overcome
these difficulties in a more user-friendly environment providing easy, time saving and all in one
solution which needs less guidance through a mobile application.
IMPORTANT AREAS TO HIGHLIGHT
• Mobile application was developed for above disabilities using deep learning and
machine learning techniques.
• No Sinhalese language apps focused on these disabilities
• No app has focused on all three learning disabilities for Dyslexia, Dysgraphia and
Dyscalculia
• Multisensory gaming approach that keeps children enthusiastic
PURPOSE
