 The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a federation of seven constituent

Politics
 More than 75% of labor force in UAE consists of
Expatriates.
 The income disparity (millionaires vs. underpaid
migrant workers) is extremely wide and a potential
source of social tensions.
 UAE has been successful in maintain fruitful
relations with the neighbouring countries as Saudi
Arabia and Oman.
 Localization of the labor market is high political

Other ways Ahead

 As we have understood we can participate in tenders bypassing the prequalification process


by participating in Joint Venture/Consortium with already Pre qualified Partners.

Our Progress
 We have already been through the licensing Procedure and the License to work as a contractor in UAE
is issued by the government of UAE.
 We are now in the Process of application to Prequalify for The ADWEA utility who is the largest Power
regulating authority in UAE.
 Presently we are in discussion with our agents in UAE to consolidate the required information and the
documents which is needed to be submitted.
 Also we are in discussion with various companies who are already qualified in the region to perform the
works. We can explore the opportunity of participating as a joint venture partner with the qualified
companies.

• Extension and Reinforcements of 4oo kV Grid stations approximately 5 in No's till 2024.
• Extension and Reinforcements of 220 kV Grid Stations approximately 7 in No’s till 2024.
• Extension and Reinforcement works for 132 kV Grid stations approximately 15 in No’s till 2024.
• 3 New 4oo kV Substations @AED 1.08 Billion ( As per DOE prospect 2017)
• 116 km 400 kV Over head Lines @ 812 Million AED ( As per DOE prospect 2017)
• 10 New 132 kV Substation @ 855 Million AED ( As per DOE prospect 2017)
• 235 km’s of 132 kV Cable Installations @ 1.294 Billion AED ( As per DOE prospect 2017)
• DEWA building 132/11 kV SS with 45 km’s of 132kV Cabling in support of Expo 2020.
• DEWA have allocated 1.9 billion US$ for the Smart Grid connection.

Internal Political Situation
 Domestic politics are influenced considerably by the ruling families and traditional tribal
structures.
 Political parties or trade unions are not permitted and oppositions virtually non-existent.
 The Federal National Council (FNC) as a legislative body has only an advisory role.
 The UAE will maintain an assertive foreign policy in order to increase its regional influence in
light of continued insecurity in the Middle East.
 The country is part of the alliance against the Islamic State (IS), and as such it has launched
air strikes against IS in Syria and Libya. At the same time, its armed forces are part of the
Saudi-led campaign against Houthi rebels in Yemen.
 The UAE was also one of the initiators (together with Saudi Arabia) to impose sanctions on
Qatar, for suspecting the country of sponsoring terrorism.
 Diplomatic Relations with Qatar is not good.
