¿What do you think about the problem?

 This is a problem that affects us, since it

is threatened by human pollution on earth
and natural causes. Previously it was
thought that due to effects of littering and
litter in the sea would have only minimal
consequences. But we have already seen
that thinking like this was a big mistake.
Oil spills, toxic wastes and floating
plastics, among other factors, have been
contributing to ocean pollution.
 ¿What would be possible solution for it?

 Use less plastic products:

Plastic is one of the main threats of the ocean, to limit its impact you can stop using
pet bottles and replace them with thermos and use cloth bags to transport purchases.
 Use biodegradable products on the beaches:
There are biodegradable sunblocks and sunscreens that do not cause damage to
marine species, try to buy this type of products that on the label indicate that they are
friendly to the environment.
 Do not litter on the beaches:
During your vacation it is important to take care of the waste you generate and not
expect someone else to take over. Show your culture of environmental respect and if
you find in your way some garbage you can contribute to pick it up.
 ¿What would be possible solution for it?
• Travel by sea responsibly:
If you practice sports such as kayaking or other activities
that are carried out in the water, do not throw anything
overboard and be aware of the marine life that lives in the
waters around you. If you are planning to cruise, choose
the option that is most environmentally friendly.
• Reduce CO2 emissions and energy consumption:
The effects of climate change on the oceans can be
reduced if CO2 emissions are reduced with small actions
such as stopping the car, switching to compact fluorescent
light bulbs, turning off the light, etc.
• Support organizations that work for the oceans:
There are many organizations that work to protect marine
habitats, you can support these institutions with
volunteering, financial support or promotion.

 Actualmente aquí en Cartagena de Indias, si una persona tira basura lo

multan, gracias a esto muchas personas evitan hacerlo, se debe crear
conciencia.
