 EXAMPLE
• 1963 – About 20,000 squatters from Manila were relocated
at Sapang Palay.
• 1964 – Edward M. Kelly, an Irish Catholic Missionary
volunteered to help the people of Sapang Palay.
• 1965 – Edward Kelly bagan searching for funds for the new
building.
• March 25, 1966 – The students of Assumption San Lorenzo,
through Mother Esperanza, gave a donation of P36,000 and
this helped build the first six classrooms.
• Sept. 28, 1970 – The First Cry of Sapang Palay took place
through a demonstration in Assumption Campus.

 EXAMPLE
• October 5, 1970 – The people gathered at 5 a.m. in
Assumption and marched, 3,000 strong to the gates
of Malacanang to seek redress.
• 1982 – Assumption opened its College Department
and became “Assumption Sapang Palay College
Inc.”
• 1984 – Assumption built a separate High School and
set our a new course to give quality education to
the students.
