 Floating population

with our ancester, with our convenient
transportation. When people are
travelling, they tend to take the way they
live with them. As a result, eating habits
moves in and out.

 Widely use of internet
Internet offer a platform for us to know
people from different country.
 Restaurants and food company set
branch all over the world.
 Some foreign food cater to our taste.
DIFFERENT TYPES OF CUISINE
AROUND THE WORLD

THAI CUISINE
 is one of the most popular of world
cuisines in recent times.
Thai food uses more noodle dishes,
fresh herbs and broths. Thai food’s
main flavors are hot, bitter, sour and
sweet.
Yam Nua(Spicy Beef Salad)

FRENCH CUISINE
French food was one of the first-world cuisines
that traveled beyond the borders of its country
of origin.
Even today, many top chefs want to be
classically French trained. The French food
ranges from hearty, rustic to the finest, and
Michelin Star style. The French meal is
complete with bread, wine and cheese.
Confit de canard

Korean Cuisine
In Korean rice is served with meat,

Spanish Cuisine
Spain is among those European countries
where cuisine is not homogeneous. In Spain,
cooking is defined by region.
 Generally, Spaniards do not eat much lamb

Prons and Cons of
Globalization of Cuisine

 Homogenization has led to a “world culture”.
through technology the world has become a smaller
place, access to other cultures is easy. It can be
argued that this will lead to greater acceptance of
other cultures.
 Homogenizing food has led to food standards of
taste and quality. Cheap, hygienic foods are now
available world wide.

 People can rely on restaurants to
have the same taste and cost in
different locations.
 The expansion of the past food
industry through globalization has
created innumerable job opportunities
to unskilled, uneducated workers

Developing countries now have a place in the
global economy.
Nations are losing their uniqueness.
Though cheap and clean, food has lost
nutritional values. People no longer have the
access to fresh fruits and veggies that they
once had, leading them to substitute these
with non nutritional, cheap alternatives.

With so many outlets relying on the same
sources for food, if any one source becomes
contaminated, millions of people may
become sick or die.
Small scale farmers suffer economically.
Environmental impacts: from making the
space for mega-farms to the tons of waste
created from fast-food restaurants.
