Problem statement
• For the sustainable development it is essential to use renewable
source of energy. So, to analyze whether the vertical wind turbines
provides desired power at output to light street light on the highway
in vicinity of Pune by preparing prototype model of vertical turbine is
the main aim of this project. By this attempt at least the power
required for the lightning of street will come for renewable source of
energy and some amount of sustainable development will be
achieved in infrastructure development like road.
Aim and Objective
Aim :
To carry out design of global sustainable infrastructure by vertical
axis wind turbine using wind power.
Objective :
Incorporation of more renewable energy to the power system.
Design to operate at sustainable wind speed, typical to Indian
weather in highway areas.
Possess a fail-safe system as a consequence of an over speed event.
Introduction
 Vertical wind turbine have capacity to catch wind from all direction.
There is constant source of wind power on highway, due to rapidly
moving vehicles.
Wind energy with recent technological advances leading to more
efficient turbine design.
Energy infrastructure changing from fossile fuel based to
renewables.
Not contribute to pollution problems or to the extinction of the
earth natural resources.
Hypothesis
The burning of fossil fuel is not a sustainable way to generate energy.
Such as, wind turbine can held to shift energy production away from
fossil fuels.
Turbine can be used globally, as an unlimited power source.
