PROBLEM DEFINITION:
 Nowadays, In India, Traffic signal are mostly operated based on
mathematically calculated time. In this type, timing for red signal
does not change depending on level of traffic at intersection.
Therefore, Traffic police changes traffic signal manually during
heavy traffic. We planned connect nearby traffic signal to
communicate through IOT. Each traffic signal will have Camera
sensor and Proximity sensor to measure the traffic level.
AIM & OBJECTIVE
 The major aim of the project is to connect two traffic signal through
IOT and make them to communicate the level of traffic at their
signal. The data collected using sensors are processed using
Raspberry Pi and appropriate signal are set.
 Objective is to reduce waiting time in traffic signal. The proper
flow of traffic based on level of traffic at signal.
METHODOLOGY
PHASE-1
 The Model needs to be fabricated in the phase one of the project to
make the motor and the necessary accessories to make it stand.
 The Study regarding raspberry pi programming needs to be done.

 The integration of raspberry and frameworks needs to be done and

assembled and tested and necessary fabrication modification needs
to be done.

 Design phase has been completed:
1. Literature Survey over the mechanism has been done.
2. Enquired on cost factor.
3. After finalisation the free hand sketch has been done.
4. Design has been finalised
FUTURE COURSE ON PROJECT:
1. As per the process flow chart need to initialize the phase of
Purchase of raw materials as well as component.
2. And once Raw materials are procured fabrication is in progress.
3. And assembling of all fabricated and purchased component using
suitable process is done.
4. Testing of final assembly is done.
5. And final report is prepared.
