Barangay Vision
Barangay Manggahan, as the center of
commerce and trade having an economically
sustainable businesses with empowered and
organized community living in climate change
resilient environment with efficient infrastructure
support facilities and utilities governed by
transparent and well capacitated public servants
to continue the over-all progress unto the next
generation.

Barangay Mission
To serve with honesty, humanity, diligence,
excellence and generosity, and to impart
knowledge for everyone’s sake, to allow the
growth of youth and establish a community
with accessible health services and education
for children and to promote cooperation within
the community to achieve success in
eradicating extreme poverty and progression
for the benefit of all the residents in the
community.

BASE PLAN OR “DO NOTHING” SCENARIO
• The logical extension of past and current trends if no
major intervention by the government is introduced
to the area other than those already on-going,
programmed or committed.

COMPACTION
• increasing densities in the existing built-up area
(Core City)
• In-filling of in-lying vacant lands or bringing
committed lands to early development
• Building multi-storey structures or increasing the
number of structures per lot or converting from
detached to attached housing.

EXTENSION
• Enlarging the size and extent of the existing built-up
area
• Building on the urban edge of periphery
• Linear extension following radial roads
