necklaces, bracelets,; and decorative items such as spoons, forks; and
office items such as pen and paper holders.

• Pearls, precious stones and semi-precious stones are unworked or


worked pearls, cut and polished diamonds and colored gemstones
such as emerald, rubies and sapphires in loose form.

Traditionally, jewelry-making is a home based industry


intended to be a source of livelihood for the family. It
has become an industry worthy of government attention
and support.

• Filipino potters make pots of different sizes, shapes, and designs, which
are usually geometric with stylized nature-themed motifs. Functional
pieces are made as the need would arise.

Preserving the traditional way of making pottery and


keeping artifacts intact will also help in preserving
Philippine tradition and culture that will benefit the
future generations.
