1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY


Essenxia Computer Center started in 2008 as an IT products retailer. They
mainly sell computer sets, accessories and components. It then grew from being
an IT products retailer with a lone store in General Santos and Koronadal to a
chain of computer.
From 2008s to 2016, Essenxia became the local reselling partner to
various global technological brands such as Acer, Hewett-Packard, Logitech, and
Seagate. With high sales from Essenxia within that year, the company was given
citations such as the Acer's Excellent Major Account Development Award in 2013
and Cisco's Retail Store of the Year in 2015.
In 2012, they became the country's retailer of Korean manufacturer of
computer components.

1.2.1 CURRENT STATE OF TECHNOLOGY


Current system is using manual system with modern
approach for sales and inventory of products. Every time
there is a new product, the seller encodes everything from
recording to sales by using Microsoft Excel. The inventory
was based on the products that are left. Inventory takes a
lot time to discern the result because recorded
transactions need to be reviewed first since sometimes
error cannot be avoided.

1.2.2 STATE OF THE PROBLEM


This part tackles the problem that leads to the
development of the Sales and Inventory System of
Essenxia Computer Center. Specific problems are:
1. Up-to-date reports for sales are hard to generate on a
daily basis.
2. The system do not produce a real-time inventory data.
3. The system consumes a lot of time in conducting an
inventory and it is laborious for the employee assigned.

1.3.1 OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY


The study aims to provide Essenxia Computer Center
with an easier and more modern alternative in doing their
sales and inventory. Specifically, it aims to:
1. Develop a system that easily determines the item sold
by the seller and subtracts the item from the inventory.
2. Provide a system that would create an inquiry for the
products for the benefits of the seller and the buyer.
3. Create a database that would organize necessary
details pertaining to sales.

1.3.2 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The findings of this study will be beneficial. The Data


and sales analysis can be performed with the access of real-
time information. Thus, the management will be able to
make better decisions and plan accordingly.
