LESSON PLANNING

Why need to prepare LESSON PLAN ?

 Its legal basis is DepEd order no. 70 ,s 2012-GUIDELINES OF THE
PREPARATION OF LESSON PLAN
 It is the daily bible of the teacher.
 It guides the teacher to have effective and meaningful teaching and
learning .
Teachers are responsible for delivering the LP that is well- planned,
well-organized , and well-implemented based on the OBJECTIVES that
are;
Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Relevant
Time-bounded
“Teacher can either make or break the future of the
learner”.
Adopted
The Lesson Plan must be SMART
PARTS OF THE LESSON PLAN
1. The objectives.
II. The Subject Matter
III.The Procedures/Strategies
IV. The Evaluation
V. The Assignment
I-OBJECTIVES

3 DOMAINS FOCUS;
1.COGNITIVE for the HEAD to NURTURE the MIND in order to KNOW
2. AFFECTIVE is to the HEART to NUTURE the SPIRIT in order to LOVE.
3. PSYCHOMOTOR is for the BODY to MOVE the LIMBS in order to
SERVE
II- SUBJECT MATTER

• Contains the topic

• The reference material/s(Book page/s)
• Learning Skills (Macro Skills) to develop
• Subject integration
• Values Integration/Values Infusion
III-PROCEDURE (Strategies)
• Daily Routine
• Motivation
• Preliminary activity
 unlocking of difficulties
• Lesson Proper
 Presentation of the lesson
 Activity (Group/individual)
 Analysis
 Abstraction
 Application
6 E’s methods and strategies
• Lesson Proper
 ENGAGE – topics is introduce in an interesting way to encourage student to seek for information.
 EXPLORE- students investigate topic more thoroughly
 EXPLAIN- students will explain more not the teacher
 ELABORATE-students apply new information and findings
 EVALUATE- teacher continues to evaluate throughout the process ex. self-evaluation, group
evaluation
 EXTEND- let the students go beyond the lesson , supply new understanding and unfamiliar
circumstances
 STANDARD- teacher will give information to incorporate in the lesson into local or district
curriculum.
IV- EVALUATION
• Ideally 5-10 questions
• Multiple choice
• HOTS Questions
• If actual presentation or written test use RUBRICS to
assess the performance fairly.
• Questions jibe with the objectives of the lesson.
V - ASSIGNMENT

• If reading activity, give specific question/s based

from the reading text.
• Indicate the reference material’s title and page/s.
• See to it that the learner’s preparation must be
checked.
TEACHING STRATEGIES
• APPROACH-A set of assumptions that defines beliefs and
theories about nature of the learner and the process of
learning.
• METHOD is an overall plan for systematic presentation of
the lesson based upon selected approaches
• TEACHNIQUES-are the specific activities manifested in
the classroom that are consistent with the methods
- it is referred to task or activity
TEACHING APPROACHES IN THE K
TO 12 CURRICULUM
• LEARNER-CENTRED-Learner is the primary concerned
• INCLUSSIVE-Everyone is “IN”
• DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE-task required acc. To their
developmental stages
• RESPONSIVE AND RELEVANT-relate lesson to learners’ daily experiences
• RESEARCH-BASED –TEACHING is more INTERESTING if is informed by
research.
• CULTURE SENSETIVE-Focus on the Diverse culture of learners
• CONTEXTUALIZE AND GLOBAL-putting lesson
into CONTEXT maybe LOCAL,NATIONAL and
INTERNATIONAL
• CONSTRUCTIVIST-Students learn by building upon their prior knowledge
• INQUIRY-BASED AND REFLECTIVE-Students begin by formulating
QUESTIONS, risking answers, proving for relationships, making their own
discoveries, reflecting their own findings, acting as researchers , and writers of
research reports.
• COLLABORATIVE-GROUP STUDENTS for an activity
• INTEGRATIVE-
1.interdisciplinary-separate subjects are brought together
2. transdisciplinary-when integration within one discipline
• SPIRAL PROGRESSION APPROACH-develop the same concept
from one grade level to the next in increasing complexity

• MTBL-MLE –Based ( Mother Tongue –Based Multilingual Education0 –

Using MOTHER TONGUE language is used as medium of instructions
Grade 1-3
RA 10533 states that MTB-MLE “starts from where the learners are and from
what they already know proceeding from known to unknown”.
• T-teaches positive and good, Thrustworthy
• E-ncourages learners
