To My Son I Sometimes Wish
I sometimes wish you were still small
Not yet so big and strong and tall
For when I think of yesterday
I close my eyes and see you play.

I often miss that little boy

Who pestered me to buy a toy
Who filled my days with pure delight
From early morn to late at night.
We watch our children change and grow
As seasons come and quickly go
But our God has a perfect plan
To shape a boy into a man,

Today my son I’m proud of you

For all the thoughtful things you do
I’ll love you till my days are done
And I’m so grateful you’re my son.
Ballad of a Dream
I hear the rain on my window pane
And I see your love that’s hiding all the pain
I’m not sure anymore
What it means to be alive
But I know in my heart
It means you by my side
Because you’re my shooting star
And you shot right through my heart.

Sino kayang di maidlip
Sa gayong tinig at boses
Kung marinig ng may sakit

Sa taguring bunso’t likong pagmamahal

Ang isinasama ng bata’y nunukal
Ang iba marahil sa kapabayaan
Ng dapat magturong tamad na magulang.

Ode to my Angel
Fly me to your heavenly garden of peace
With your pure and pallid wings
Carry me to me fairest hopes and dreams
And put my feet up on your red roses bed.

Bless my mornings with your comforting touch

And feed me with your sweetest smiles
I’ll drink your tears to heal my pains
And live with you forevermore.
Guide me to your future successes
With your eyes so angelic and divine
Sing your most romantic melodies
Erase my worries and perplexities.

O my dearly beloved angel of heavens

Your smell I breathe awakens me
Embrace me with your warmest arms
Forever I will live with thee.
A Sonnet for my Father
I remember the day you hugged me with all your might,
Indescribable feelings and emotions subside; thing’s that I really cannot hide.
It was during that night when I also hugged you tight,
turning back time is all that I can feel inside.

If you only knew the day you left me all alone,

the dreams you dreamt for me to all vanished.
Everything was shattered, my paths became dim and everything was broken.
But the memories you have left to us; we always cherish.

I can feel you, I can sense you, you are everywhere.

The moment when we were together, the moment we loved each other,
The journey you have not finished, I will start building somewhere,
And carry all your words of wisdom, today, tomorrow until forever!

May you be happy as you are with our God Almighty.

This sonnet is for you, I will love you till Eternity!
Elegy
With the farming of a verse
Make a vineyard of the curse
Sing of human unsuccess
In a rapture of distress;
In the deserts of the heart
Let the healing fountain start,
In the prison of his days
Teach the freeman how to praise.
