Power decoupling in solar PV system using partial power processing converter

Introduction
 PV systems have become globally accepted as a practical and feasible tool to generated power.
 Solar PV enables distributed generation of clean and renewable electricity.
 Power mismatches of PV strings due to partial shading DC-DC converters is integrated at string
level ,It is called distributed maximum power point tracking.
 Various solar PV panels are connected in series to increase the voltage level of the string.

DC-DC converter used as:

1. Full power processing converter

2. Partial power processing converter

Power decoupling in solar PV system using partial power processing converter

Existing method

In existing method the complete output power of the solar PV string is
processed by the converter.
Even with no mismatch in the string, FPP converter need to process the
whole PV power. This results in increased power loss.
Power decoupling in solar PV system using partial power processing converter
Proposed method

The proposed method describes that in the PPP architecture the major
portion of solar PV power is directly fed to the inverter, thereby a small
amount of power need to be processed by the converter.
 In case of no mismatch between strings PPP does not process any power,
thereby increasing the overall efficiency.
PPP flyback Power decoupling in solar PV system using partial power processing converter

topology

A fly back converter connected between PV module and dc bus.

A flyback converter based PPP topology injects voltage in series with the
PV panel to adjust the mismatch.

These module integrated PPP converter is generally connected to dc link

of the single phase inverter.

Objectives Power decoupling in solar pv system using partial power processing converter

 The main objective of this work suggests a flyback based partial power processing converter, which offers
high conversion efficiency.
 The proposed schemes eliminating low frequency oscillations in string voltage in case of single phase
inverters.
 The proposed scheme also there by increasing power extraction efficiency, low conversion losses and
distributed maximum power point tracking.
