• And by 2012, she quit her job and started “Mughda art studio”. In
2015, she launched her Flagship store ”” in Hyderabad.
• Her collection “Ananda Gandharva” was showcased in the India
Runway Week Summer 2016.
• Lakme Fashion Week, Sashi started her label “Sashi Vangapalli
Label” in 2017.
• First fashion designer from Hyderabad to showcase her collection
“Riverie” at the Cannes.

 LAKME FASHION WEEK’17
• The name of her collections was “Bidariya”.
• The Bidri Art Form, which originated in the town of Bidar, is
a mix of the Persian, Arabic and Turkish art forms, with
the most important local aspect of utilizing soil to make the
Bidri ware.
• Sashi made sure that she made an out-of-the-box garment for
Susmita Sen, the show stopper, and her look was one of India’s
top three looks.

 “RIVERIE” AT THE CANNES
• Things took a huge turn when she was invited to
The Cannes film Festival through her Lakme
designs.
• She felt as if she had stepped into the real
competitive world.
• She was the first fashion designer from
Hyderabad to showcase her collection “Riverie”
at the Cannes.
• Besides that, she has also designed amazing
outfits for celebrities.

 FUTURE PLANS
• Sashi is coming up with eco-friendly garments
known as "Plastic Collections”, which would
be launched in November for the upcoming
fashion show in Hyderabad next year. She has
added many effects to it by combining plastic
with laser cuts.
• She is looking forward to showcase her
garments at international level: New York and
Paris Fashion Week.

 CONCLUSION
• Exploring the fashion industry inspite of all her
professional setbacks had made her go a long
way. Her incredible success is all the more
impressive considering her past.
• She is still working on innovative designs to
extend her brand even wider.
• When someone asked her, who is an apt patron
for her designs, she replied “Modern independent
women who have the fire to do extraordinary
things”. Much like her, indeed.
