 Brick Work & Bonds :
1. Properties:
• Colour should be uniform and bright.
• Standard Size of the brick is 190*90*90(mm) &
size of the brick with mortar 200*100*100(mm).
• Strength of brick should not be less than 3.5N/mm2.
• Fire resistance should be good.

2. BRICK BONDS:
• English bond.
• Stretcher bond.

 Plastering :
 It is a layer of mortar applied on a masonry surface and it
acts as a damp proof coat over the brick masonry work.
 It also provides a finished surface over the masonry i.e..
Smooth. It also enhance the appearance of the building.
Process:
It is a mixture of lime cement concrete and sand with
water.
{Points to be remembered :-
1. wall should be clean from dust.
2. Sprinkle water on the surface before start plastering.
3.Using trowel, gurmala, straight edge, sprit level etc.
• TYPE OF PLASTER USED:-
1. Cement Plaster : Sand cement ratio is 3:1 or
4:1.
2. Clay Plaster.
 Tiling Work
Tile and natural stone increase elegance
any room in your home. These are
generally square and rectangular in shape.
These are manufactured by ceramic, stone,
metal, clay and glass.
These are generally used in flooring roofs
and walls.
Tiling stone :- marble onyx , granite and
slate.
{Important points to be remembered :-
1. Fill any crack or hole with spackle.
2. Rough it with sand paper to give smoothness.
 Column Casting
• There are three stages of
column casting:-
1. Column Layout
2. Column Reinforcement
3. Column Formwork
1. Column formwork:-
It Is made usually with timber and metal panels. It is
create and enclosed box with frame at the exact size of
the column and fixe it tightly from the bottom to the
last stage of column concrete.
2. Column Reinforcement:-
The reinforcement of column are placed according to
structure of drawing.
Column no. – C8-8#16mmdia and stirrup-10mmdia
@4”c/c.

 Dome casting
Dome, in architecture, hemispherical structure
evolved from the arch, usually forming a ceiling or
roof.
1. Placed beam which had 9 feet width and 36
inch length.
2. Then placed column on beams which had size
of 9*36 inch
3. After placing beams and columns brick masonry
work is done to 9 inch.
4. We used 8mm RCC bars in this .

Dome dimensions -:
Height -5 feet.
Width- 7.5 feet. {8mm(22 bars).
Length- 15 feet.{8mm(20 bars).
Concrete grade – M20
 Swimming pool :

Dimensions
•Heigth-6 feet.
•Length- 60 feet.
•Width- 30 feet and
25 feet.
•8 mm RCC bars
used.
This white polythene is used for water proofing. This is generally made
up of synthetic polythene. This polythene is generally used where area is
surrounded by water by which water remains in pool.
 Conclusion :
