Session Objectives

• Nakagagawa ng maikling report na may kasamang
mga table, tsart at photo o drawing
• Nakagagawa ng diagram ng isang proseso gamit
ang word processing tool
MS WORD
Ribbon Tabs
HOME TAB
The Home Tab is about the basics of
how text looks when it is printed or
displayed online.
INSERT TAB
Besides adding text to a document,
you may want to add images, links
to web sites, charts, or other
objects to your Word document.
DESIGN TAB
This tab lets you work with a
document's overall design, from
choosing a pre-designed template
or theme to customizing colors,
fonts, paragraph spacing and more.
PAGE LAYOUT TAB
Here's where you change margins
and page size and orientation, set
up columns, align objects, and add
effects.
REFERENCE TAB
This tab handles tables of contents,
footnotes, bibliographies, indexes
and similar material.
MAILING TAB
As the name says, this is where
you'll go for anything to do with
mailings, from something as simple
as creating labels to the more
daunting task of mail merges.
REVIEW TAB
Need to check spelling and
grammar, look up a word in a
thesaurus, work in markup mode,
review other people's markups or
compare documents? This is the tab
for you.
VIEW TAB
Here's where to go when you want
to change the view in any way,
including displaying a ruler and grid
lines, zooming in and out, splitting
a window in two and so on.
Working with Tables
Step 1
• Move the insertion pointer to
the location where you want
the table in your document...

Step 2
• Click the Insert tab.

• Click the Table button.

Notice that when you click your table MS Word
will automatically adds 2 more tabs or menu.
DESIGN TAB and LAYOUT TAB

Another way of adding/deleting rows and
columns, merge or split cells is using the
LAYOUT TAB.

The DESIGN TAB is used to add visual styles on
the table
Working with Charts
Step 1
• Move the mouse pointer and click the INSERT
TAB, then select the CHART button.
Step 2
• Select your desired chart type
• Click ok

• Type your
data in the
data dialog
box.

data dialog
box after
typing the
data

• Click the
Insert Tab

Shape
button
• Click any
object once.
• Click on the
working area
where you
want to place
the shape /
object
• To add text,
right click on
the object and
select add text

Step 1
• Move the mouse pointer and click the INSERT
TAB, then select the Picture button.
Step 2
• A dialog box will appear on the screen
• Select your desired picture.

• Click ok
• To move the picture; select the image
• On the FORMAT TAB, click WRAP TEXT button
• Select Behind text

using the different tool under the FORMAT TAB
