the definition of future perfect countinuous
tense
• Future perfect coutinous tense is a tense that shows an ongoing
work with a certain duration in the future. This tense is rarely used
in conversations, but you must understand it so that you dont get
confused when someone uses this tense. It is said future certainly
because it is done in the future, it is said to be perfect because the
work has begun at a certain time (in the future ) and is countinous
because it still occurs at the intended time.
Formula of future perfect countinous

• This tense formula consists of 3 elements: future with characteristics of will + verb-1 ( or
precisely infintive), perfect: have + verb-3 and countinous: to be+ verb-ing. If combined
then: will + (verb-1 + have) +(verb-3 +to be) + verb-ing.
• So : s + will + have + been + verb-ing

Kalimat positif: Subjek + will + have been + verb-ing
Kalimat negatif: Subjek + will + not + have been + verb-ing
Kalimat tanya: Will + subjeck + have been + verb-ing + ?

itu selama 14 jam pada besok pagi.]
They will have been studying English for 3 years by the end of this year. [Mereka akan sudah belajar bahasa
Inggris selama 3 tahun pada akhir tahun ini.]
Future Perfect Continuous Tense
Formula
• The future perfect perfect tense is formed with auxiliary verbs will, already, and ever
and participle present.
• In general, the perfect continuous tense future only occurs when the action forms
dynamic or action verb, because the stative verb is generally only dynamic verb which
has a continuous form
Future Perfect Continuous Function.
• Future Perfect Continuous Tense functions to be used in an activity that has been done and is
still going on in the future. As the example above, next week, I will have left in Bali for a year
(Next week, I will have stayed for a year in Bali). That is, I have now lived in Bali for 11
months 3 weeks, and next week even one year, and will still continue to live in Bali.

• The difference between the future perfect continuous and the future perfect tense:
• The difference with the future perfect tense is if the future perfect tense only emphasizes the
completion or evenness of a job at a certain time in the future without any continuation, while
the future perfect continuous does not only emphasize the completion or even the work, but
also emphasizes that I also still do it.
Fungsi Kalimat Future Perfect Continuous Tense

Future perfect continuous tense digunakan untuk membicarakan tentang aksi yang
panjang sebelum titik waktu tertentu di masa depan.
Signals:
For + duration (a month, a year, a week) dapat digunakan untuk menyatakan durasi
aksi yang panjang, sedangkan by the end of … (next month, next week, next
year), when + clause (you arrive), before + clause/noun (midnight, he comes) untuk
membicarakan aksi di masa depan yang terjadi ketika aksi future perfect continuous
tense telah terjadi beberapa lama.

He will have been studying in Cairo for a year by the end of next month.
(Dia akan telah belajar di Kairo selama setahun pada akhir bulan depan.)

Andra will have been waiting for three months when the corn is ready to harvest.
(Andra akan telah menunggu selama tiga bulan ketika jagung siap panen.)

Will you have been writing the report before the branch manager observes?
