INTRODUCTION :-

Hotel industry is one of the fast growing industries in the world , India is not immune to it. The spread of travel culture has deep roots to unable
people to combine relaxation with a spirit of adventure. The growth of modern modes of transportation, which makes for faster mobility, has been
one of the major catalysts for it. Aside from cultural aspects, tourism has been rightly recognized as a major economic Activity.
Additionally with the increase in international tourism, the host Country is in a position to earn valuable foreign exchange.

SITE SELCTION : WHERE ?

Goa is a major tourist centre with excellent beaches. About 82 KM of
this land of Golden Sand is covered with beaches having golden sand. Lush green trees and
fa ever welcoming Sun. A 25th state of free India, Goa was liberated from the Portuguese
on 19th Dec. 61. It is an irritable blend of Indian and the Portuguese.
Tourism is today one of the major economics and pleasure activity for
Goa tourism ranks next to mining. Tourism is vital for creating employment facilities to
vast population as also a major source of earning foreign exchange. Goa is seriously
concerned with preservation and conservation of environment, ecology and architecture for
the tourist interest. Strict regulations have been imposed for development along coastal
area.
Goa as present received 10 lakhs tourists out of which 10% are
foreigners and if proper infrastructures are provided, by 2001 A.D. The tourist arrival will
shoot upto 25 lakhs. Goa at present is comfortable in accommodation and transport but lack
in entertainment facilities. Hence state Government has proposed water sports institute and
golf course and tours for tourists. The implementation of the expansion plan for the Airport
will add new dimension to the tourist flow in Goa.

i want to design a beach resort because i have an interest in designing a habitable space near a
