User Exit Definition

CATS User Exits are code enhancements that allows the implementation
of Ericsson’s business rules
› Each business rule is identified by a unique user exit or enhancement
option number
› Enhancement options are activated and controlled by the combination
of Company Code and Data Entry Profile.
› Some User Exits require additional support tables to allow company
specific parameters for the specific business rule.
› The Ericsson User exits are grouped into 2 categories:
– Mandatory: these User Exits are the base set of rules which are mandatory for all
Ericsson. They ensure a consistent base for data quality.
– Recommended: these User Exits enable more local variation of data quality checks
and complete the entire time sheet validation process.
