• As shown in the image, water can be poured
from the top of the diffuser plate manually or
by using a small pump.
• The blue box as seen in the image is made
out of concrete or plastic and filled with sand
and a few pebbles.
• The design might look very simple but the
processes happening inside are far too
complex. Also don't confuse this system with
a typical sand-pebble filter you might have

learnt about in school.
EFFICIENCY
• Identical in efficiency to a RO based system but at
lower costs. Simply stating, the science is the same.
• There you have membranes, here you have sand!
Technical comparisons are available. Moreover, this
can also handle Arsenic related problems well.

CURRENT STAGE & NEXT STAGE

11/13/2019 7:58:08 AM
CURRENT STAGE

• In current status our project we right now generate list of needed things
for our project.

• We survey the Area where we can apply our project.

• we just right-now thinking of how we generate our separation of solid

waste from waste water model.

• We have our idea completely ready and going to start our work
accordingly.
11/13/2019 7:58:08 AM
Next Stage
• Our idea is ready and we just start making our
protocol model.

• We need one entire system with UV light and

Activated Carbon. Moreover, the raw materials and
trash traps are indigenously available so setting up a
manufacturing

11/13/2019 7:58:08 AM
• After making protocol model we apply some test on protocol
model for various conditions.
• After successful test on model we prepare actual working model
and try to apply on actual streetlight.
• After we put our project on SSIP.
• And receiving some suggetions we improve our model.
• After perform the test we put our project on different contest and
try to collect fund for it.
• And after that we launch our project on beta version and we
receive feedback from gov. we apply further work on it.

FUND REQUIREMENTS

The overall cost of building one entire system with UV light and
Activated Carbon in line will not exceed INR 3000 (compared to ROs
running into INR 10,000 +). The per liter filtration cost (after using UV
light and Activated Carbon) will be only 3 rupees / liter of water (6
US Cents per liter)! Moreover, the raw materials are indigenously
available so setting up a manufacturing hub for such filters is very
easy - anywhere. Rough figure is : 30000/-

PATH FORWARD
• If our project will select in SSIP after that we will think about any
further improvements.

• If our project will select in SSIP then after receiving some reviews
from experts we will improve our protocol model accordingly.
