 Reliance has various services under the firm, such as, RELIANCE FIBERNET, JIO, etc.
 These services can be made to be used as compliments with the online
purchase services.
 This can be done by providing discounts for the desired products if you’re a JIO
service user or Fibernet user, etc.
 Also in remote townships retail store purchase of online order can be established
to facilitate consumers’ comfort and saving transport cost.
DIFFERENCE
 Issue of coupon that can provide deduction of the total purchase rate.
 Reliance, being a firm that has multiple products under its management can
provide low price bids that can incur losses, as they can retrieve it through the
sales of other products, while Amazon and Flipkart only provides online shopping
service thus can’t exercise such strategy.
IMPLEMENTATION
 Gathering consumer feasibility of products, tastes and preferences in the target
market.
 Promotion through personnel marketing, TV, social networking, etc.
 Estimation of demand for the firm.
 Production of the finished products through optimal utilization of inputs.
 Provision of transportation services that can meet the consumers’ need on time.

STRATEGIES
 Reliance can adopt penetration strategy in order to attract the Indian consumer
market.
 Although, they’ll suffer a loss at the initial stage, it’ll in turn attract more
consumers towards the firm’s market thus generating profit in long term.
 This same strategy have been used by Reliance during the marketing of Jio.
 Shipping and service charges can be deduced to non-existent level to lower the
pricing bid drastically compared to Amazon and Flipkart.
STRATEGIES
 Jio Fibernet (of the same firm-Reliance) can be promoted alongside the retailing
promotion to provide internet access to remote areas.
 This will help to increase profit for Reliance in Fibernet domain as well as help to
mitigate the losses and accelerate the profitability for online shopping for the firm
in the market (as Online shopping tends to be the loss leader in that period of
time).
