MECHANICS
• The team should consist of 3 participants
per year level.
• The Pointers for the Quiz Bowl will focus on
Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology
specifically Botany and Zoology
• The Quizbowl is divided into 3 rounds:
EASY with 10 questions, AVERAGE with
10 questions and DIFFICULT with 5.
• For the Easy round each question is worth
1 point, Average round is worth 2 points
and the Difficult Round is worth 3 points.
• The questions will be read only twice by the
Quiz Master.
• The time frame to answer for the Easy,
Average and Difficult round will be 10s, 15
s and 25 s respectively.
• After the allotted time has passed, the Quiz
Master or Time keeper will shout “Times Up” and
all boards should be raised.
• In determining the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, the
team with highest points garnered will be the 1st
placer, the second highest points garnered will be
the 2nd placer and the third highest points
garnered will be the 3rd placer.
• In case of a tie, a clincher round will occur to
break the tie.
