Barangay Lirongan is a place situated
approximately ____kilometers west of Maramag
public and private Bukidnon which is the heart of
Bukidnon Province. The place is a mixture of
various tribal groups such as: Talaandig,
Higaonon and Manobo tribe who came since
early 1950’s and enjoyed the vast tract of lowland
now planted with different kinds of high valued
vegetables and crops. Binukid is the common
dialect used in the community.
History

Lirongan Elementary School is named


after its barangay established in early 1955
through the donation of Hon. Pablo Dogia,
the Barangay Lieutenant . The school has a
total land area of 2.8 square meters . It is
situated between two mountain ranges,
Kitangalad and Kalatungan. It has 7 buildings
and 6 classrooms. It is blessed with facilities
and amenities that geared towards the total
wholesome development of the clienteles.
