 When the baggage item enters the central tunnel it is

detected by the first light barrier
 The generator is opened.
 The baggage passes through the beam path.

System startup steps
1. Put power plug into 220V socket.

2. All Red “Emergency ”buttons should be in up condition. If
not, please rotate the button in a clockwise direction.
3. Put key into the “Key Switch” and switch ON.
4. Press the green button “Power”, start the equipment.
5. Input operator ID: 002; PW:002. and then press F1 to
login. (you can use other ID&PW which you had setting
before.)
6. Press “Forward” key on the operation table, conveyor
move in the forward direction, start inspection baggage.

system shut down steps
1. Press “Stop” key on the operation keyboard.

2. Press “EXIT” – “②system shut down”-“②shut down”.
3. (after computer shut down completely) Put key into the
“Key Switch” and switch to “OFF”.
4. Pull out the power plug from the socket, shut down the
equipment.

Operation cautions
Cautions:
Please press the button lightly; you can't knock hard on the button.
Don't switch unless necessary.
Don't start or close the computer casually.
According to the standard to power on or power off strictly.
Be make sure the cable connection are tightly.
Often adjust belt, ensure belt running in the central position.
Ensure the switch button be hard.
Check the anchor bolts, ensure the machine in a horizontal position.
Watch the lights are normal operating equipment.
Please close the equipment when its temperature is too height.
When you want to run the motor please make sure its temperature is not too low.
Make sure the motor installed tightly and the voice is normal.
Please mark the detailed phenomenon when the equipment to appear some problems.
Every time you close the equipment, firstly close the computer and then close the equipment
power.
When you move the equipment pls make sure it is flat and the cable connection is normal.
Make sure the equipment to against dust, water and shake.
Changing the direction of the motor can not be executed frequently. The frequency of the
motor starting can not be more than 14 times per minute at most. The frequency of changing
rotating direction of the motor can not be more than 7 times per minute at most.

Trouble: No Image.
Solution:
1. Data communication problem. Check:
① Make sure the cables from detection - collection box - transmission box to computer
connect correctly;
②Change the USB cable or change the USB port to another one which on the computer;
③Make sure the transmission board and collection board power supply is about 5V DC;
④ Install USB driver. Refer to next page.
⑤ Reinstall the USB driver as below steps: go to the path C:\Program
Files\EIXrayScanner \Drivers\USB11 and run the “FTD2XXUN” file to uninstall the
USB driver, then restart computer, it will ask for install new hardware driver, pls
install it as next page. (notice: keep the machine power on)
⑥ Change the collection board;
⑦ Change the transmission board.

Trouble: No Image.
Solution:
2. x-ray generator communication problem.
Check:
① make sure the x-ray generator is power on and the generator control box indicator is
light;
②make sure the cable connect between generator – x-ray control box and computer
are correctly;
③make sure the x-ray type setting is correctly, (go to software – menu – system
maintenance - x-ray generator testing - modify x-ray, the default setting is
‘spellman XRB160‘), if the x-ray type is another one, pls change this setting
matching;
④go to system maintenance – control system – x-ray generator, modify the serial
number one by one until the communication status is “Normal”;
⑤find the ”com2” cable which is connect computer with x-ray control box, change it to
another serial port on the computer, and then redo above steps;
⑥change the x-ray generator.

Trouble: No Image.
Solution:
3. Main control board communication problem (operator keyboard no work).
Check: ①make sure the cable connect keyboard - control box – computer are
correctly. ②enter into software – menu – system maintenance – control system
– main board, and then modify the serial number one by one until the machine
keyboard work. ③change the “com1” cable which connect the PC and control
board to another port on the computer and then check as above step;
④change the control board; ⑤ change the keyboard. (Notice: when machine
keyboard no work, pls connect with PC keyboard and mouse, key info: Tab=Menu;
Number=Number; F1/2/3=F1/2/3, others pls operate by mouse. )

Trouble: Horizontal line on image
Solution:
1. Humidity is too high. If every morning when start the machine, it have line on the
image, but after running several hours the image better, it means the humidity is too
high and cause the detectors problem. Solution: add more desiccant into detection
box, or change the desiccant inside detection box.
2. Detectors problem. Pls enter into software – menu – system maintenance –
detention maintenance – HE (or LE) - acquisition start, you can find a line on ordinate
about 600, and on the abscissa, you will find one or some dot are very high (to 4000)
or very low (to 0), these are problem dot (it’s the reason of line on image), so we
need change it. For example: the NO. 338 HE dot get problem, we can know
338/32=10.5625, it belong NO.11 board the second HE detector. So just change this
one.

Trouble: Vertical line on image
Solution:
1. Change the USB cable or change the USB cable connect to another port on the
computer.
2. Make sure the transmission board and collection board power supply are stable, it is
about DC±5V. If problem, change it.
3. Change the collection board.
4. Change the transmission board.
5. If every front or back of image have yellow line, maybe the generator problem. Check:
① Software – menu – system maintenance - x-ray generator testing – parameter
setting – modify, input voltage 1400 and current 350, or higher value. (voltage:1400-
1550; current:350-600); ② if above setting still no work, pls change the x-ray
generator.

Solution:
1. Make sure the power supply for distribution board is 5V DC and stable.
2. Make sure the two cable connect detection box and distribution board are correctly.
3. Change distribution board.

Solution:
1. Make sure the power plug is ok and input power is normal.

2. Make sure all the emergency button are rise up
3. Make sure the air switch is ON
4. Make sure the fuse are ok (when fuse problem, the fuse indicator will light)
5. Check the key switch are normal, no cable loose, no cable short.

Trouble: Machine static electricity
Solution:
1. If the machine get static electricity, usually it’s because the earth wire no
connect or connect not good. Normal condition: L-N:220V AC; L-G:220V
AC; N-G:0V AC. So, if your measure value is not correctly, pls check the
earth wire and improve it, make sure it’s normal.
2. Check all the cable no broken and no short circuit.

Trouble: Machine trip
Solution:
1. Check the emergency button, all power supply, power supply board, other
cables, make sure no cable loose.
2. Make sure the main power cable ok, plug no problem, connect no loose.
3. The machine power is 220V AC, 0.5KVA, make sure input power no
problem.
4. Change the AC contactor.

Trouble: No video input
Solution:
1. Make sure the computer input power is normal, and switch on the power
button.
2. Make sure the VGA cable (connect with PC and monitor) no loose, or
change a new VGA cable.
3. Press the PC power button by hand for 5 second and then press it again.
4. if the computer power normal, and the indicator light, but above no work, pls
remove the computer and remove the display card, memory card, and other
PCI card, (some times you should remove the mother board and CPU chip)
and then clean and reinstall them.

Solution:
1. Restart computer by hand, press the restart button on the front of computer.
2. If it show press F1 to continue, pls press F1.
3. Press F11 button when it show “To start the product recovery program,
press F11”, press F11, then it will recovery the windows system, it will take
several minutes.
4. If F11 no work, pls reinstall the windows system. And then install all the
driver and software as the guide.

Trouble: Blue screen
Solution:
1. When the blue screen is for check hard disk program, pls wait it finish. (as
“P.1”)
2. When the blue screen is caused by hardware (as “P.2”), pls check: ①
restart the computer by hand; ②find the stop code and search the code in
internet, it will show which part get problem, then remove, clean or change
this port; ③ remove all other connection in the back of computer and restart
it; ④ remove the computer and remove all the card inside it, clean and
reinstall them;

Trouble: System error info
Solution:
1. If some error info show on the screen when scanning, pls exit the software
and check: ①use effective anti-virus software to scan whole disk; ②close
the error report: My computer - Properties - Advanced - Error reporting -
Disable error reporting; ③ cancel the “60-day Desktop Cleanup Wizard”:
Right-click the desktop - Properties - Desktop - Customize Desktop - Cancel
"every 60 days automatically run Desktop Cleanup Wizard“. ④ cancel the
Startup Items: In the windows interface, click the "Start" - Run - enter
"msconfig" and OK - Open the Startup item - remove all the startup items
except “EIXrayScanner.exe” and “ctfmon.exe” - OK - restart the computer.
2. If after above steps no work, pls reinstall the software. (refer to “reinstall software”
guide)

Solution:
1. If the belt deflection, pls Belt direction

Trouble: Belt can not running
Solution:
1. Check the motor protector, make sure the green button is inside, if not, press it inside.
2. Make sure the two pair of sensor not be block. If block, pls clean it, pls clean the
tunnel and sensor. (P2)
3. Make sure the cable from keyboard to control board connect correctly.
4. Short connect the two cable on the motor control board, as picture (P3). After connect
if the motor can not working when power on, the motor is damage and should be
changed.
5. Change the main control board. Or change the keyboard.

Trouble: Belt can not running
Solution:
6. If press running key, motor no work, after help motor running by hand, it work. It
means the motor starting capacitance get problem, pls change it.

Solution:
1. Clean the clean the tunnel and sensor.

2. Check the stop button, make it normal, no block.
3. Replace the keyboard.
4. Replace the control board.

Trouble: Reinstall software
Solution:
Uninstallation:
1. before uninstall, pls go to software menu - "7 system INFO" - pls write down
the "equipment number" and "Authorization code". then press "EXIT" button on the
keyboard and then press "2 system shut down" - "1 back to desktop";
2. Go to “C:\Program Files\EIXrayScanner” and copy “XSConfig.ini” to desktop.
3. Go to "START" - "PROGRAMS" - "EIxrayscanner" - "uninstall EIxrayscanner", and
then always click "OK" ...
4. run the “Clearup.exe” (You can find it in E disk) software - click "clear info" - "OK".
5. Delete C:\Program Files\EIXrayScanner folder.
Installation:
1. software: Run "EastImage_6550_V5.0(20131024).exe “(You can find it in E disk) and
always click OK or NEXT, it will be ok. notice: in the process, it need input the equipment number
which you have write down before. and after installation when you run the software, you need input the
Authorization code which you have write down before.
2. Copy “XSConfig.ini” on the desktop to “C:\Program Files\EIXrayScanner\” replace it.
3. Restart computer.

Trouble: Software Register – need authorization code
Solution:
1. If the software show below picture:” Activation code is invalid”. pls send the “Serial
Number” on the picture to us, we will send the authorization code to you, and you can
press F1 to input the code and activate the software.

Trouble: Software Register- no serial number
Solution:
2. If the software show below picture:” Activation code is invalid”, but no Serial Number
be find(P1), pls press Ctrl+Alt+del key, “windows task manager” – “progress” end the
“EIXrayScanner.exe”, and then go to Start – control panel – networking, Enable all
the local network connection as picture ‘P2’. And then start up software again, it will
be OK. If after above steps, it no serial number still, pls remove all the hardware
what you new installed.

Trouble: Software Register – activate error
Solution:
3. If software show “Illegally change the system time”, or as below picture. Pls press
Ctrl+Alt+del key, “windows task manager” – “progress” end the “EIXrayScanner.exe”.
Then open “Clearup.exe” program (you can find it in E:\ disk), click “clear up info”
and then “OK”. And then start EIXrayScanner again, then register software as

Trouble: Software Register – final solution
Solution:
If the software can not be register whatever you do, pls do as below steps:
1. Uninstall the software refer to 6.5.1 guide.
2. Go to Start- Run, input “regedit” and OK open “REGEDIT” –
“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE” – “SOFTWARE” – “EIXrayScanner”, delete this
“EIXrayScanner” item.
3. Check is any hardware you new installed, if have, pls remove all of them.
4. Install the software refer to 6.5.1 guide.
After reinstall, if the serial number changed, or you forget the authorization code, pls
send the new serial number to us, we will send the new authorization code to you.
