INTRODUCTION OF THE COMPANY
- Established as the School of Agriculture in 1931
- A premier institution of learning, widely recognized for leadership in research and
innovation
- It goes by the name Universiti Pertanian Malaysia and then it is changed to Universiti
Putra Malaysia in 1997.
- UPM is capable not just in Agriculture field but also various fields such as Science
and information technology.
OBJECTIVE
-To understand real life situation organisations and related environment to this course

-To apply the related knowledge to real life situation

- To synthesis absorbent which is the zeolite and effervercence APTES zeolite

-To study the effect of zeolite for ph and temperature of the standard solution used

-To analyze results by using ICP spectrometry

DISCUSSION
The results of the percentage removal is for every 200mg of zeolite sample and APTES
sample and 25ml of standard solution which contains pb and cu ions.
After doing the experiment, the sample is sent to ICP for obtaining the results and the
results is calculated. The percentage of removal of heavy metal is obtained in this
experiment.
After calculating the results, it is obtained that the highest percentage of removal for
Cu and Pb is when the standard solution is at ph3 which is 99.38 and 99.73%
respectively.
The lowest percentage removal for Cu is at ph7 which is 98.61% , however for Pb is at
ph 4
CONCLUSIONS
This Internship program is an excellent opportunity for us students to identify,
observe and practice how technology is applicable in real life
I learnt the way at work in an organization the importance of being committed and
the importance of team spirit
Not only that, I learnt to observe management practices and interact with fellow
colleagues.
