 A prophet (nabi) or messenger (rasul) of Allah is
human being to whom Allah gives His guidance
(through wahi)and whom He charges with the task of
conveying His guidance to the people so that they
recognize the Oneness of Allah and forbid wrong and
enjoin what is right.
‫س ِه ْم يَتْلُو‬ِ ُ‫وًل ِم ْن أ َ ْنف‬
‫س ا‬ُ ‫يه ْم َر‬ ِ ِ‫ث ف‬َ َ‫ين ِإ ْذ بَع‬ َ ِ‫علَى ا ْل ُم ْؤ ِمن‬ َّ ‫لَقَ ْد َم َّن‬
َ ُ‫َّللا‬
‫اب َوا ْل ِح ْك َمةَ َو ِإ ْن كَانُوا ِم ْن قَ ْب ُل‬
َ َ ‫يه ْم َويُعَ ِل ُم ُه ُم ا ْل ِكت‬
ِ ‫علَ ْي ِه ْم آيَا ِت ِه َويُ َز ِك‬
َ
)164( ‫ين‬ ٍ ‫ض ََل ٍل ُم ِب‬َ ‫لَ ِفي‬
A RASOOL is a Prophet who received a new
SHARIAT (Divine Law) and Book from Allah. A
NABI follows the SHARIAT of a RASOOL or a
Prophet before him.
All the RASOOLS were NABIS but not all NABIS
were RASOOLS .
 He is the best in his community morally and
Intellectually.
 He is supported by visions to prove that he is not an
fake.
 Every prophet states clearly that what he receives
is not of his own but from Allah for the well-being
of mankind.
 a) Clear concept about Allah: His attributes, His
creation, what should and should not be ascribed
to Him.
 b) Clear idea about the unseen world, the angels,
jinn (Metaphysical bodies), Paradise and Hell.
 Why has Allah created us? What does He wants
from us and what is the reward or
punishment for obeying or disobeying Him?
 d) How to run our societies according to His
will? There are, clear divine instructions and laws
that, when applied correctly and honestly, will
result in a happy and ideal society.
  Allah says in the Holy Quran:

‫علَى َا‬
ِّ‫ّللا‬ ‫ل يَ ُك َا‬
‫ون ِّللنَ ِّ ا‬
َ ‫اس‬ ‫ين ِّلائ َ َ ا‬
‫ين َو ُم ْن ِّذ ِّر َا‬ ‫س ًا‬
‫ل ُمبَ ِّش ِّر َا‬ ُ ‫ُر‬
)165( ‫يِزا َح ِّكي ًما‬ً ‫ع ِِّز‬
‫ّللاُ َا‬ ‫ان َا‬‫ل َو َك َا‬ ‫س ِّا‬ ُ ‫الر‬
ُّ َ‫ُح َجةا بَ ْع اد‬
Messengers who gave good news as well as warning, that
mankind, after (the coming) of the messengers, should
have no plea against Allah: For Allah is Exalted in Power,
Wise. (4:165)
 ‫ت َو َلا تَت َ ِّب ْاع أ َ ْه َاوا َء ُه ْما‬ ‫ع َوا ْست َ ِّق ْام َك َما اأ ُ ِّم ْر َا‬ ‫ك فَا ْد ُا‬‫فَ ِّلذَ ِّل َا‬
‫ت ِِّل َ ْع ِّاد َا‬
‫ل‬ ‫ن ِّكتَابا َوأ ُ ِّم ْر ُا‬ ‫ّللاُ ِّم ْا‬
‫ل َا‬ ‫ت ِّب َما أ َ ْنِزَ َا‬ ‫ل آ َم ْن ُا‬ ‫َوقُ ْا‬
‫ع َمالُ ُك ْام َلا‬‫ّللاُ َربُّنَا َو َربُّ ُك ْام لَنَا أ َ ْع َمالُنَا َولَ ُك ْام أ َ ْا‬ ‫بَ ْينَ ُك ُام َا‬
‫ص ُا‬
‫ير‬ ِّ ‫ّللاُ يَ ْج َم ُاع بَ ْينَنَا َو ِّإلَ ْي ِّاه ا ْل َم‬
‫ُح َج اةَ بَ ْينَنَا َوبَ ْينَ ُك ُام َا‬
Now then, for that (reason), call (them to the Faith), and stand
steadfast as thou art commanded, nor follow thou their vain
) 15 (
desires; but say: "I believe in the Book which Allah has sent
down; and I am commanded to judge justly between you. Allah is
our Lord and your Lord: for us (is the responsibility for) our
deeds, and for you for your deeds. There is no contention between
us and you. Allah will bring us together, and to Him is (our) Final
Goal. (42:15)
 ‫ن َر ِّب ِّاه ِّإنَ َما اأ َ ْن َا‬
‫ت ُم ْن ِّذ ار‬ ‫عالَ ْي ِّاه آيَةا ِّم ْا‬ ‫ل أ ُ ْن ِِّز َا‬
َ ‫ل‬ ‫ل الَ ِّذ َا‬
‫ين َكفَ ُروا لَ ْو َ ا‬ ‫َويَقُو ُا‬
)7( ‫ل قَ ْوما َهادا‬ ‫َو ِّل ُك ِّا‬
To Every people there is a guide.
ُ (13:07)
‫ي بَ ْينَ ُه ْام ِّب ْاال ِّق ْس ِّا‬
‫ط‬ ِّ ُ‫سوالُ ُه ْام ق‬
‫ض َا‬ ُ ‫سولا فَإِّذَا َجا َاء َر‬ُ ‫ل أ َمةا َر‬‫َو ِّل ُك ِّا‬
)47( ‫ون‬ ْ ُ‫ل ي‬
‫ظلَ ُم َا‬ ‫َو ُه ْام َ ا‬
And for Every Ummah (a community or a
nation), there is a Messenger; when their
Messenger comes, the matter will be judged
between them with justice, and they will not
be wronged.
(10:47)
‫ين َوأ َ ْنِزَ َلا‬
‫ين َو ُم ْن ِّاذ ِّر َا‬ ‫ّللاُ الانَ ِّب ِّي َا‬
‫ين ُمبَ ِّش ِّر َا‬ ‫ث َا‬ ‫احدَاة ً فَبَعَ َا‬ ِّ ‫اس أ ُ َم اةً َو‬
‫ان النَ ُا‬ ‫َك َا‬
‫اختَلَفُوا ِّفي ِّاه‬
ْ ‫اس ِّفي َما‬ ‫ْن النَ ِّ ا‬ ‫اب ِّب ْال َح ِّا‬
‫ق ِّليَ ْح ُك َام بَي َا‬ ‫َمعَ ُه ُام ْال ِّكت َ َا‬

Mankind were one community and Allâh

sent Prophets with glad tidings and
warnings, and with them He sent the
Scripture In Truth to judge between people
In matters wherein they differed.
(2:213)
 ‫عي َلا‬ ‫ل ِّإلَ ْينَا َو َما اأ ُ ْن ِِّز َا‬
‫ل ِّإلَى ِّإب َْرا ِّه َا‬
‫يم َو ِّإ ْس َما ِّا‬ ‫اّللِّ َو َما أ ُ ْن ِِّز َا‬ ‫قُولُوا آ َمنَا ِّب َا‬
‫سى َو َما أُو ِّت َا‬
‫ي‬ َ ‫سى َو ِّعي‬ َ ‫ي ُمو‬ ‫اط َو َما أُو ِّت َا‬ ‫وب َو ْاِل َ ْسبَ ِّا‬ ‫َو ِّإ ْس َحاقَا َويَ ْعقُ َا‬
)136( ‫ون‬ ‫ن لَ اهُ ُم ْس ِّل ُم َا‬‫ْن اأ َ َحدا ِّم ْن ُه ْام َون َْح ُا‬‫ق بَي َا‬ ‫ل نُفَ ِّر ُا‬ ‫ن َر ِّب ِّه ْام َ ا‬ ‫النَ ِّبي َا‬
‫ُّون ِّم ْا‬

"Say (O Muslims): we believe in Allah and that which is revealed to us and

that which was revealed to Abraham and Ishmael, and Isaac and Jacob, and
their children, and that which Moses and Jesus received and that the prophets
received from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them and unto
Him we have surrendered." (2:136)
 ‫ون ُكلا آ َام َنا‬ ‫ن َار ِّب ِّاه َو ْال ُمؤْ ِّمنُ َا‬‫ل ِّإلَ ْي ِّاه ِّم ْا‬‫ل ِّب َما أ ُ ْن ِِّز َا‬
‫سو ُا‬ ُ ‫الر‬ َ ‫ن‬ ‫آ َم َا‬
‫س ِّل ِّاه‬
ُ ‫ن ُر‬‫ْن أ َ َحدا ِّم ْا‬
‫ق بَي َا‬ ‫ل نُفَ ِّر ُا‬ ُ ‫اّللِّ َو َم َل ِّئ َك ِّت ِّاه َو ُكت ُ ِّب ِّاه َو ُر‬
‫سِّال ِّاه َ ا‬ ‫ِّب َا‬
)285( ‫ير‬ ‫ص ُا‬ ِّ ‫ْك ْال َم‬
‫َك َرابَنَا َو ِّإلَي َا‬ ‫غ ْف َران َا‬ ُ ‫ط ْعنَا‬ َ َ ‫س ِّم ْعنَا َوأ‬ َ ‫َوقَالُوا‬
The Messenger (Muhammad) believes In what
has been sent down to Him from his Lord, and
(so do) the believers. each one believes In
Allâh, his angels, his Books, and his
Messengers. they say, "We make no distinction
between one another of his Messengers" – and
they say, "We hear, and we obey. (We seek)
Your Forgiveness, Our Lord, and to You is the
return (of all).“ Al-Baqarah-285
 ‫س ِّل ِّها‬ ‫ْن َا‬
ُ ‫ّللاِّ َو ُر‬ ‫ن يُفَ ِّرقُوا بَي َا‬ ‫ُون أ َ ْا‬
‫س ِّل ِّاه َوايُ ِّريد َا‬ ‫ون ِّب َا‬
ُ ‫اّللِّ َو ُر‬ ‫ين يَ ْكفُ ُر َا‬ ‫ن الَ ِّذ َا‬‫ِّإ َا‬
‫ْن ذَ ِّل َا‬
‫ك‬ ‫ن يَت َ ِّخذُوا بَي َا‬ ‫ُون أ َ ْا‬
‫ن ِّببَ ْعضا َونَ ْكفُ ُار ِّببَ ْعضا َويُ ِّريد َا‬ ‫َويَقُولُ َا‬
‫ون نُؤْ ِّم ُا‬
‫عذَابًا ُم ِّهيانًا‬ َ ‫ين‬ ‫ون َحقًّا َوأ َ ْعت َ ْدانَا ِّل ْل َكا ِّف ِّر َا‬
‫ك ُه ُام ْال َكا ِّف ُر َا‬ ‫) أُولَ ِّئ َا‬150( ‫يل‬ ‫س ِّب ً ا‬

Verily, those who disbelieve In Allâh and his Messengers and wish to make
distinction between Allâh and his messengers (by believing In Allâh and
disbelieving In his Messengers) saying, "We believe In some but reject
others," and wish to adopt a Way In between. They are In Truth disbelievers
and we have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating torment.
 Who is the prophet ( appointed and chosen by
ALLAH)
 Feature of the prophet( best in community,
prove what he said,
 Prophet’s message(Clear concept of ALLAH,
 Obeying and disobeying, reward and
punishment ,How to run our society
 No addition and subtraction in divine law
 All the Prophets of God were men of good character
and high honor.
 They were prepared and chosen by Allah to deliver
His message to mankind.
 Their honesty, truthfulness, their intelligence and
integrity are beyond doubt.
 They did not commit sins or violate the Law of Allah.
 Prophets created the link between man and their
Lord.
 They helped man to find the straight path of Allah.
 They confirmed what man already knows or can
know, and to teach him what he does not or cannot
know by his own means.
 Distinguishes Muhammad from Others?

 COMPLETENESS OF Al-ShAR‘EEAH
 Muhammad’s guidance covers all walks of life
 PRESERVATION OF REVELATION
 Finality of Prophethood
 Last Prophet
‫ّللاِّ َوخَات َ َام النَ ِّبِّاي َا‬
‫ين‬ ‫ل َا‬ ‫سو َا‬
ُ ‫ن َر‬ ‫ان ُم َح َمدا أَبَا أ َ َحدا ِّم ْا‬
‫ن ِّر َجا ِّل ُك ْام َولَ ِّك ْا‬ ‫َما َك َا‬
)40( ‫ع ِّلي ًما‬ َ ‫ش ْيءا‬ َ ‫ل‬ ‫ّللاُ ِّب ُك ِّا‬
‫ان َا‬ ‫َو َك َا‬
 Revived the faith conveyed by all prophets
 Pure message retransmitted throw him
 No messenger after him
 Book is preserved
 Sunnah (practice, sayings, approvals) is recorded
in details (No better compilation of any person in
history is present)
28.

And We have not sent you (O Muhammad SAW)

except as a giver of glad tidings and a Warner to
all mankind,
158. Say (O Muhammad SAW):
"O mankind! Verily, I am sent to you all as
the Messenger of Allah
to Whom belongs the dominion of the
heavens and the earth
3. This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My
Favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.

9. Verily We: It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr
(i.e. the Qur'ân) and surely, We will guard it (from
corruption.
 A UNIQUE BOOK
 Memorized in Full by hundreds of thousands
 TOP in being read daily by millions all over the
world.
 Preserved in its ORIGINAL form for the last 14
centuries
 No Nabi No Rasool After Me
 “From Anas bin Malik, (Allah be pleased with him)
Allah's messenger Muhammad SAW) said: “Verily,
‘risalat' and ‘nubuwwat' are terminated, so there
shall be neither a ‘rasool' nor a ‘nabi' after me'.
(Tirmidhi, Kitab-ur-Rouya Babu Zahab-un-
Nubuwwa, Musnad Ahmad, Marwiyat-Anas bin
Malik)
 Thirty Liars in the Ummah
 “It is related by Hazrat Thauban, (Allah be pleased
with him) that our Prophet SAW) said “In my
Ummat there shall be born thirty liars, each of them
will pretend that he is a prophet but I am the last of
the prophets, there shall be no prophet after me” .
