PROBLEM STATEMENT
– According to a report, the unemployment rate of India has gone up from four
percent to 7.6 percent in the last two years(May 2017-April 2019)
OVERVIEW
– Unemployment crisis arises when people are willing to work but they are not able to find
jobs. Due to unemployment, people are not able to earn their living and it also lead to
reduction in output and also signifies that the economy is in a bad situation.
– Unemployment is of various types like:
– Structural unemployment which occurs when the needed skills in a job are not being
possessed by the candidate
– Cyclical unemployment which occurs according to the various business cycles.
– Seasonal unemployment which generally happens in agriculture as there are periods of high
growth as well as lowest growth
– Voluntary unemployment occurs when workers by themselves refuse to work as a result of
strikes or a lady going on a pregnancy leave and not coming back to work
