Introduction to PDM University

The PDM University has been established by the Haryana State Legislature under the Haryana Private
Universities Act No. 32 of 2006, as amended by the Haryana Private Universities (Amendment), Act, 2015
(Haryana Act No.1 of 2016) and notified in the Haryana Govt. Gazette (Extra) Notification No. Leg.2/2016,
dated 14th January, 2016.
Our History
PDM is a pioneer group in imparting education since 1995. Spread over 95
acres, the campus is one of most advanced campuses in India. The group runs
more than 12 different institutions providing high quality technical as well as
medical education. Located in the National Capital Region (Delhi-NCR), PDM
is among the most prominent choices for higher education among the
students. PDM campus is home to more than 15000 students and 1200
faculty members. PDM is run by the renowned ‘PDM Religious & Educational
Association’, PDM Religious & Educational Association (PDMREA) was
established with a Mission and Vision to serve a larger section of the society
by promoting Educational Institutions and rendering social service in the field
of health–Education and Services.
Our History
• .We established at an auspicious moment in
the year 1995-96, with the primary objective
of rendering selfless, dedicated and yeomen
service to the cause of higher education. Its
educational service to the society is accessed
and widely appreciated. It has established and
patronized a number of prestigious
educational institutions, all of which have
grown now to the stature of being accredited
with the ISO 9001-2008 certification by the
International Certification Services. To carry
forward their avowed mission for the
fulfillment of their social commitments, various

Established by Prabhu Dayal Memorial Religious & Educational Association

(PDMREA) in 1995, PDM has always worked to cultivate academic freedom
under a spirit of self –reliance among the youth of the nation. Over the last
two decades, the group has seen an exponential growth and success in the
field of education because of the tremendous efforts of its staff members
and students. Not only this, the group has also made tangible progress
towards its founder’s dream to create a community of learning that crosses
cultural boundaries and produce global leaders.

PDM University has been established by the P. D. Memorial
Religious & Educational Association, Bahadurgarh, which
has got an excellent track record of establishing a galaxy of
U.G./ P.G. Colleges of Engineering, Dental, Pharmacy,
Architecture, Education & Diploma Level Technical
Institutions, and is running them very successfully. These
Institutions draw students from all parts of the Country and
enjoy an extra-ordinary reputation for Educational
Innovation and Academic Excellence. The PDM University
has been modelled after the best Universities of India. Its
main objective is to provide an excellent environment for
higher studies, research & innovation. It has introduced
various academic programmes & is providing education at

With immense pleasure I welcome you to PDM University that has

evolved as one of the best education brands in India in 2017. Late Sh.
Prabhu Dayal jee was the inspiration behind the creation of this
temple of worship with a sole aim to serve the humanity through
eradication of illiteracy from this region. Thus, P D Memorial Religious
& Educational Association (PDMREA) was established at
Bahadurgarh in his memory in the year 1995. Since its inception,
PDMREA is engaged in catering education at different levels for the
benefit of aspiring youths, especially for the educationally,
economically and socially deprived class of the society. Presently,
PDMREA is successfully running a group of 12 institutions from three
campuses, offering specialized Bachelors and Masters programs in
Engineering & Technology; Management; Architecture; Dental
Science; Pharmacy; and Education in addition to Primary &
Secondary levels education. Due to its huge infrastructure over a vast
area, it is designated as one of the largest education hubs in north
India including Delhi-NCR.
Faculties & Departments
• Faculty of agriculture INTRODUCTION
PDM University under its Faculty of Agriculture
offers undergraduate course B.Sc (Hons.)
Agriculture. The University has developed its own
agriculture farms to provide the real experienced
in agricultural production to its students. Wide
experience of the faculty trains the students in
developing newer methods cultivation in corps
and foods as well as production of dairy products.
Beyond this the faculty provides the knowledge
of marketing, development, storage and
preservations of seeds to develop the new
technologies in agriculture.
Faculty of Allied Health Sciences
• INTRODUCTION
• PDM University under its Faculty of
Allied Health Sciences offers Bachelor
of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Diploma in
Medical Lab Technology (DMLT)
Programs. These programs are well-
designed, multidisciplinary courses
with PDM University’s highly qualified
faculty members and state-of-art
facilities. These courses generate
highly well trained skilled experts in
the field of allied health science to
fulfil the requirement and demand of
industry and society.
 Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies
INTRODUCTION
The Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies(FCMS) offers programmes designed to provide students with a sound
understanding of the functions of Business and their inter-relationships. All business and economic activities, whether in
the private or public sector, utilizes the functions to plan, organize, administer, control, produce, market and distribute
goods or services. As corporations grow larger and more complex, as government regulations become more pervasive,
and national and international firms compete for markets – the principles and techniques in business become more
critical for success.

The FCMS strives to develop in its students an understanding of nature of modern business, including an awareness of
emerging business opportunities and the constraints within those opportunities may be explored. It requires students to
apply the analytical skills developed in study of general education to real business situation.

The FCMS offers programmes leading to a threer years undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Business Administration
(BBA) & Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com). The FCMS also offers two years Post Graduate Degrees Programmes leading to
a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and Masters in Commerce.
FACULTY OF DENTAL SCIENCES

INTRODUCTION
Faculty of Dental Sciences, PDM University formerly known as PDM Dental
College & Research Institute is recognized by Dental Council of India,
Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India., Govt. of Haryana.
Faculty of Dental Sciences currently offers a 4-year undergraduate
programme including one year internship leading to the Bachelor of Dental
Surgery (BDS) degree and a 3-year postgraduate programme leading to
the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degree.

Faculty of Education

• PDM Faculty of Education would
provide learners a wider and more
comprehensive understanding of
education as field of knowledge and
would accommodate a wide variety of

FACULTY OF ENGINEERING &
TECHNOLOGY
• INTRODUCTION
• The Faculty of Engineering & Technology is
the largest interdisciplinary component of
PDM University endeavouring to producing
skilled professionals, capable of meeting local
and global challenges in the field of
engineering, technology and management.
The legacy of the Faculty is founded on a
strong footing of teaching and learning in
technical education at PDM College of
Engineering since 1995. Over the time PDM
College of Engineering has become a favorite
destination for talented, quality aspiring
youths from Haryana, Delhi-NCR and
surrounding states.
Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences
• INTRODUCTION
• Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is
continuing from the date of its inception with
a mission of imparting teaching and
promoting implementation of practical
aspects of Humanities and Social Sciences to
build a solid foundation. Further, the vision is
set for opening up research areas in the field
of Humanities and Social Sciences, there by
ensuring the scope for imparting Masters and
Doctoral level courses in the relevant subjects
belonging to the field of Applied Sciences and
Humanities.
Faculty Of Law
• INTRODUCTION
• The PDM Faculty of Law is established with
the object of providing high quality education
in the legal domain.
• Our sincere endeavour is to make legal
education, as an instrument of social, political
and economic change. Each individual who is
part of this institution must be remembered
for the promotion of social justice. Our
students will not only be shaped as change
agents as the country achieves its social and
developmental goals, but will also be
equipped to address the imperatives of the
new millennium and uphold the Constitution
of India.

Faculty of Life Sciences
• INTRODUCTION
• PDM University has excellent laboratories in
biochemistry and microbiology departments.
Well-developed centers has all sorts of testing
facilities for analyzing complex biological
species. The faculty trains the students
regarding human health and various
environmental issues. Two departments
namely Botany and Zoology has been
established to start some new undergraduate
courses to provide the solid knowledge of
anatomy, animal biology, plant biology,
virology etc. for the better understanding of
living world sustainability.
FACULTY OF PHARMACEUTICAL
SCIENCES
• INTRODUCTION
• Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, started in
2004 as PDM College of Pharmacy under
aegis of PDM Group of Institutions. It is
situated in 95 acres of green scenario land,
having building and infrastructural facilities as
per norms and standards of Pharmacy Council
of India. The Department is equipped with
the latest infrastructure and equipment’s and
has put in place highly qualified responsible
teachers so that the best can be offered to
the students. Along with the academic
pursuits, the Department carries out various
extracurricular and cultural activities aimed at
total personality development of the
students.
Faculty Of Physical Science
• INTRODUCTION
• The Faculty of Physical Sciences is one of the
leading departments of PDM University in terms of
research and teaching in physical sciences. The
Faculty has well-developed computing facilities
and well-equipped laboratories. Academic staff are
highly qualified and many are nationally and
internationally acknowledged for their

 Central Library
• Introduction
• Welcome to Central Library at PDM Group of Institutions, A well-stocked Library has been established in the heart of PDM
campus in 1999 for the benefits of students and staff. The state-of-the-art Central Library is housed in a three-storey
building. Library remains open on all working days from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. Books are issued / returned from 9 AM to 3 PM.
Total staff members working in the library are nine.

• The Library is fully automated. The database of Library documents has been prepared using e-Granthalaya Software .The
software providing following modules and facilities.

• Catalogue search: catalogue is arranged according to Dewey decimal classification. Each

row of the racks has been labelled with the range of class numbers in the corresponding
row.
• CD-ROM Search:CD-ROMs are available on technical and non-technical subjects.
• Internet Facility: This facility is available in all working hours.
• Reprographic Service: Library provides Reprographic service to its users in the library. The
advantage of this facility is that it minimizes the chances of tearing page from books.
• Circulation Service: This is most popular service, which is concerned with Issue and Return
of books and other reading materials. Library has computerized circulation System.
• Reference Service: Journals, Magazines, Newspapers, Encyclopedias, Dictionaries,
Handbooks, Reference Books, Textbooks etc. kept in the reference section. These can be
referred to, inside the library only.
 Membership
• Book Bank Membership : Students who wish
to become member of the book bank, are
required to deposit the requisite amount. The
Book Bank Members are provided all their
text books for each semester free of cost. In
addition to this the graduate students are
issued two books and the postgraduate
students are issued four books for 14 days at
a time.
• Ordinary Membership: The students who are
not members of the book bank may obtain
membership of the library by depositing
requisite amount.

Transport Facilities
Introduction

PDM has very good transport facility supported by a

fleet of more than 125 buses running on more than
100 routes across different cities within a radius of
about 50Kms. The institution provides transportation
facilities to students coming from New Delhi,
Gurgaon, Sonepat, Rohtak and other nearby areas.
