LO QUE HACE
 Hechos 12:1-12
“Por ese tiempo, el rey Herodes Agripa comenzó a perseguir
a algunos creyentes de la iglesia. Mandó matar a espada
al apóstol Santiago (hermano de Juan). Cuando Herodes
vio cuánto esto le agradó al pueblo judío, también arrestó
a Pedro. (Eso sucedió durante la celebración de la Pascua.

About that time King Herod laid violent hands upon some
who belonged to the church. 2 He had James, the brother
of John, killed with the sword. 3 After he saw that it
pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter also. (This
was during the festival of Unleavened Bread.) 4 When he
had seized him, he put him in prison and handed him over
to four squads of soldiers to guard him, intending to bring
him out to the people after the Passover.
5 Así que Pedro estaba custodiado en la cárcel; pero la iglesia hacía sin
cesar oración a Dios por él. 6 Y cuando Herodes le iba a sacar, aquella
misma noche estaba Pedro durmiendo entre dos soldados, sujeto con
dos cadenas, y los guardas delante de la puerta custodiaban la cárcel.
7 Y he aquí que se presentó un ángel del Señor, y una luz resplandeció

en la cárcel; y tocando a Pedro en el costado, le despertó, diciendo:

Levántate pronto. Y las cadenas se le cayeron de las manos.

5 While Peter was kept in prison, the church prayed fervently to God for
him.6 The very night before Herod was going to bring him out, Peter,
bound with two chains, was sleeping between two soldiers, while
guards in front of the door were keeping watch over the prison. 7
Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell.
He tapped Peter on the side and woke him, saying, “Get up quickly.”
And the chains fell off his wrists.
 8 Le dijo el ángel: Cíñete, y átate las sandalias. Y lo hizo así. Y le dijo:
Envuélvete en tu manto, y sígueme. 9 Y saliendo, le seguía; pero no
sabía que era verdad lo que hacía el ángel, sino que pensaba que veía
una visión. 10 Habiendo pasado la primera y la segunda guardia,
llegaron a la puerta de hierro que daba a la ciudad, la cual se les abrió
por sí misma; y salidos, pasaron una calle, y luego el ángel se apartó
de él.
8 The angel said to him, “Fasten your belt and put on your sandals.” He
did so. Then he said to him, “Wrap your cloak around you and follow
me.” 9 Peter[a] went out and followed him; he did not realize that
what was happening with the angel’s help was real; he thought he
was seeing a vision. 10 After they had passed the first and the second
guard, they came before the iron gate leading into the city. It opened
for them of its own accord, and they went outside and walked along
a lane, when suddenly the angel left him.
11 Entonces Pedro, volviendo en sí, dijo: Ahora entiendo
verdaderamente que el Señor ha enviado su ángel, y
me ha librado de la mano de Herodes, y de todo lo
que el pueblo de los judíos esperaba. 12 Y habiendo
considerado esto, llegó a casa de María la madre de
Juan, el que tenía por sobrenombre Marcos, donde
muchos estaban reunidos orando.

11 Then Peter came to himself and said, “Now I am sure

that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from
the hands of Herod and from all that the Jewish
people were expecting.” 12 As soon as he realized
this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of
John whose other name was Mark, where many had
gathered and were praying.
 1.- DIOS SABE LO QUE HACE AÚN CUANDO PASAMOS POR
DIFICULTADES Y SUFRIMIENTOS.
Salmos 37:39
“La salvación de los justos viene del Señor; él es
SU FORTALEZA en tiempos de angustia”
The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD;
he is their refuge in the time of trouble.
 2.- DIOS SABE LO QUE HACE AUN CUANDO ES MEDIA NOCHE
Salmos 30:5
“Porque un momento será su ira, Pero su favor
dura toda la vida. Por LA NOCHE DURARÁ EL
LLORO, Y a la mañana vendrá la alegría”

For his anger is but for a moment; his favor is for a

lifetime. Weeping may linger for the night,
but joy comes with the morning.
 3.- DIOS SABE LO QUE HACE, AUN CUANDO NUESTRA FE ES DÉBIL
12 Y
habiendo considerado esto, llegó a casa de María la
madre de Juan, el que tenía por sobrenombre Marcos,
donde muchos estaban reunidos orando. 13 Cuando llamó
Pedro a la puerta del patio, salió a escuchar una
muchacha llamada Rode, 14 la cual, cuando reconoció la
voz de Pedro, de gozo no abrió la puerta, sino que
corriendo adentro, dio la nueva de que Pedro estaba a la
puerta.
12 As soon as he realized this, he went to the house of Mary,
the mother of John whose other name was Mark, where
many had gathered and were praying. 13 When he
knocked at the outer gate, a maid named Rhoda came to
answer. 14 On recognizing Peter’s voice, she was so
overjoyed that, instead of opening the gate, she ran in and
announced that Peter was standing at the gate.
15 Yellos le dijeron: Estás loca. Pero ella aseguraba que así
era. Entonces ellos decían: !!Es su ángel! 16 Mas Pedro
persistía en llamar; y cuando abrieron y le vieron, se
quedaron atónitos. 17 Pero él, haciéndoles con la mano
señal de que callasen, les contó cómo el Señor le había
sacado de la cárcel. Y dijo: Haced saber esto a Jacobo y a
los hermanos. Y salió, y se fue a otro lugar.

15 They said to her, “You are out of your mind!” But she
insisted that it was so. They said, “It is his angel.” 16
Meanwhile Peter continued knocking; and when they
opened the gate, they saw him and were amazed. 17 He
motioned to them with his hand to be silent, and
described for them how the Lord had brought him out of
the prison. And he added, “Tell this to James and to the
believers.”[a] Then he left and went to another place.
18 Luego que fue de día, hubo no poco alboroto
entre los soldados sobre qué había sido de
Pedro. 19 Mas Herodes, habiéndole buscado sin
hallarle, después de interrogar a los guardas,
ordenó llevarlos a la muerte. Después descendió
de Judea a Cesarea y se quedó allí.

18 When morning came, there was no small

commotion among the soldiers over what had
become of Peter. 19 When Herod had searched
for him and could not find him, he examined the
guards and ordered them to be put to death.
Then he went down from Judea to Caesarea and
stayed there.
 Hechos 12:.20-24
20 Y Herodes estaba enojado contra los de Tiro y de Sidón;
pero ellos vinieron de acuerdo ante él, y sobornado
Blasto, que era camarero mayor del rey, pedían paz,
porque su territorio era abastecido por el del rey. 21 Y un
día señalado, Herodes, vestido de ropas reales, se sentó
en el tribunal y les arengó

20 Now Herod[a] was angry with the people of Tyre and

Sidon. So they came to him in a body; and after winning
over Blastus, the king’s chamberlain, they asked for a
reconciliation, because their country depended on the
king’s country for food. 21 On an appointed day Herod put
on his royal robes, took his seat on the platform, and
delivered a public address to them.
22 Y el pueblo aclamaba gritando: !!Voz de Dios, y
no de hombre! 23 Al momento un ángel del
Señor le hirió, por cuanto no dio la gloria a Dios;
y expiró comido de gusanos. 24 Pero la palabra
del Señor crecía y se multiplicaba.

22 The people kept shouting, “The voice of a god,

and not of a mortal!” 23 And immediately,
because he had not given the glory to God, an
angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was
eaten by worms and died.
 4.- DIOS SABE LO QUE HACE AUN CUANDO PARECE QUE TUS
ENEMIGOS ESTÁN GANANDO
Salmo 56:9
Serán luego vueltos atrás mis enemigos, el día
que yo clamare, esto sé, Que DIOS ESTÁ POR
MI”

Then my enemies will retreat in the day when I

call. This I know, that God is for me.
