is completed during 2017 - 2018
Two Lane Road with 2.5 m GSB Shoulders Both Sides
Km 2/0 to 14/0 & Sanctioned for strengthening &

General Observations:-----
• Speed breakers are not provided at low category roads at junctions.
• T – Junction Sign boards are either missing or fixed at junction
itself.
• Road marking has fainted, giving poor visibility at night.
• Lot of Commercial activities developed along the road in Urban
areas and at junctions.
• No Hazard markers are placed at heavy trunk of trees in
shoulders, electric poles and DP’s/Transformers.
• Road under Construction, Work stand still in Km 0/0 to 14/0 and
24/0 to 44/200 since long. One lane constructed in 4 km length and
there is a difference of 30 to 50 cm in levels between two lanes,
causing safety concern.
Recommendation:---
• T- Junction Cautionery Sign Boards shall be provided at least 100 m before
and after T-Junction.
• Speed Breakers as per IRC with Reflective Road marking Paint
shall be provided at Low category Road at all junctions.
•Proper road marking be done regularly for the safety of road users.
•Cat-eyes provisions are provided as per IRC recommendation.
•Lighting arrangement be provided at all junctions and village/urban area.
•Zebra marking is provided at all junctions for safe pedestrian crossing.
•Visibility at the junctions, approach road, slip road be enhanced by removing the
vegetations.
• Stopped road work shall be started at the eariest, till safety precautions be
adopted.
The Road Safety Audit Team has conducted
Road Safety Audit and in the process I have visited and
inspected this road. We have defined “SAFETY ISSUES” and
made what we believe to be feasible “RECOMMENDATIONS”
that we urge the Client to implement.
