at District Rahim Yar Khan . A seminar and walk
arranged in Jinah Hall.

The session started with recitation from Holly Quran followed by Umair Aziz.
Dr. Zubair Iqbal DC IRMNCH analysed the situation of child mortality in Pakistan and
Rahim yar khan. He briefed the session about support of UNICEF, IRMNCH and DHA in
all aspects of GAPPD Project. After that Dr Saleem Laghari pediatrician and HOD SZMC
In his presentation which the symptoms, treatment and preventive measures were
discussed.
Dr. Sakhawat Ali Randhawa CEO DHA addressed the session and highlighted the
importance of vaccination against Pnemenia. He advised the audience to vaccinate
that every children should be vaccinated according to the schedule.
Dr. Amjad Yaseen in his speech highlighted the importnance of Hand Washing in
prevention of Pneumenia. He told that deaths from pneumonia can be reduced to half
only practicing this minor easy task.
After this a question/answer session was conducted in which all participant actively
participate.
Walk was also arranged after the seminar. Doctors, Paramedic Staff, LHSs, LHWs , The
Aga Khan University Staff and others participated in large number. In the end
participants were served lunch.
