Silica)
Matting Agent
have following Advantages :

• Matting agents are additives that enhance the performance of Inks and
coatings. They create a micro-rough surface. This facilitates to diffusely
reflect the incident light on it, thus creating an impression of low gloss. The
particles are evenly distributed in the film.
2.Matting Agent :FMSIL Series

 FMSIL is high performance Sol-gel silica developed for variety of applications

to achieve matt finish.

 FMSIL is high performance sol-gel silica developed for variety of ink application
in printing ink, paint and coatings to achieve matt finish.

 Overprint varnishes and printing inks. : Surface treated matting agent suitable
for solvent based printing inks, easily dispersible and high clarity product.

 FMSIL has outstanding suspension behavior and suitable for use in pigmented
coatings and also use in clear coats.

 Silica have a relatively high efficiency in terms of matting power

3.White Pigment Opacifier : LC PIGMENT
 LC PIGMENT : An unbelievable break through in Paints & Coatings that reduce your cost by
partial replacing Tio2 as much as 15-25% and enhance optical properties with high gloss.

 The refractive Index of LC Pigment is around 2.1 which are slightly lower than Tio2 (2.7).

 LC Pigment works fundamentally in both ways as an individual opacifier and also act as spacer
for prime pigment mainly for Tio2.

 We have two grades of LC Pigment :

• LC 460 Pigment : For water based system

• LC 470 Pigment : For solvent based system

Hydrous Clay Series
KAOLIN  Easily dispersible
(China Clay)  Better Ink hold out
 Improve print Gloss
 Cost effective
5.KAOLIN
 Kaolin is the common name for the mineral products comprised totally or substantially of the
aluminum silicate clay mineral kaolinite. Milled and air-classified grades of raw kaolin may
contain small amounts of related sheet silicates (mica, illite, chlorite, smectite) and quartz.

 Ultrafine Kaoline, with a particle size between 0.2 and 0.5 µm, is the most effective at
maintaining an ink formulations gloss.

 It Can Cost-Effectively Reduce expensive resins/Varnish:

• It gives better Ink hold out
• Used to extend coloured pigment
• Reduce mist formation
• Improve print gloss
• Reduce overall formulation cost.
