(Ram Nivas Garden , Jaipur ,Rajasthan,302004) GOVERNMENT MUSEUM, ALBERT HALL MUSEUM , JAIPUR BANGALORE INTRODUCTION The government museum is the second oldest museum in south India It is a 2 storey building Established in 18th August 1877 This museum was designed by Lt.General sir Richard Sankey Style used here is European classical (palladian) This museum consists of the following areas: Entrance Antique Gallery ( ground floor ) Painting Gallery ( first floor ) Sculpture Gallery (ground floor ) Cafeteria Consists of two RCC spiral staircase which leads to the Painting Gallery A help desk This area include stone implements , pottery , shell jewellery , beads , iron tools etc Flooring : vinyl flooring Columns : 14 structural columns Lighting : tube lights , pendent lights Display unit : the antiques are placed wooden glass display along with a storage unit beneath 5’*1’6”*8’ Colours : white This area showcases paintings which exhibit fine workmanship Flooring : Cream tiles of 1’ by 1’ Lighting : tube lights Display unit : these paintings are placed inside a wooden glass display , along with a storage unit beneath 5’*1’6”*8’ Consists of 40 paintings This area showcases different parts of sculptures found during excavation Flooring : turquoise blue tiles Lightings : tracks lights and spot lights Displace unit : the sculptures where placed wooden box units of different heights (3’,1’6”, 3’6”) Columns : 12 structural column Beams : 6 beams Colour : cream walls A small cafeteria outside the museum Colour : red Exterior seating The museum is housed inside the Albert hall complex It is a 2 storey building Established in the year 1887 The museum was designed by Samuel swinton jacob Style used here is Neo gothic and islamic architecture Flooring : checkered titles The whole gallery is divided into 14 different areas This museum consists of the following areas: Metal art gallery Arms and armour gallery Sculpture gallery Pottery gallery Marble art Jewellery Antique coins Clay art gallery carpet gallery Furniture ancient Musical instrument gallery Miniature painting gallery garment and textile gallery Ivory FLOORING : black and white checkered tiles Different Mural tiles are used in different corridors of this museum LIGHTINGS : wall mounted flask lights Pendent lights Tube lights Track lights and spot lights COLOURS : the complete interiors of the museum is white and cream DISPLAY UNITS : all the artefacts are placed inside wooden with glass display system It consists around 953 jharokha with antique designs It consists of 13 rajasthani chatris THANKYOU
