INTRODUCTION
Interface is a shared boundary across which two or
more separate components of a computer system
exchange information.
The exchange can be between software, computer
hardware, peripheral devices, humans, and
combinations of these.
TYPES OF INTERFACING
Memory interfacing- it is used to access memory quite
freqtuently to read instruction codes and data stored in
memory.
I/O interfacing- it provides a method for transferring
information between internal storage and external I/O
devices .
KEYBOARD INTERFACING
From Figure a, identify the row and column of the pressed key for each
of the following.
Solution:
From Figure a the row and column can be used to identify the key.
The row belongs to DO and the column belongs to D2; therefore, key
number 2 was pressed.
The row belongs to Dl and the column belongs to D3; therefore, key
number 7 was pressed.
