Art Production
 Creation of products from an artistic effort.
 Process where artists manipulate materials
to their understanding of art and
sentiments.
 Deliberate activity of inventiveness and not
duplication of somebody else’s artwork.
 Involves a variety of skill, technologies,
dispositions and materials.
Art Production Planning
 Aim: prepare students for future work by
providing skills and knowledge to tell their
own stories and ability to interpret the
stories of others.
 Explore, experiment & interpret their world,
reflecting & assessing contemporary life in
the midst of social & cultural pressures.
 Consider the role of audience

 Process of manipulating current medium to
arrive at something that does not only
appeal to one’s sensibilities but give
meaning to life as well.
The Student as an Artist
 Students have the ability to mirror the
contemporary world through manipulation
of tools and materials to express themselves
and their environment. They can serve visual
guides as artists are found anywhere.

Integrative Art in the
Classroom
 Art enhances creativity; promotes individual
competence in expressing their thoughts,
sentiments, principles & values in a visual
and tangible form.
 Creativity –involves skills, technologies &
manipulation of material according to one’s
competence.
 School, as learning environment is the most
effective venue to foster creativity.

experience of it.”

 Art production activities –require cognitive


processing and contemplation. Meaning and
intentions of the learner should be
expressed in his or her creative work to
foster application & greater self-esteem.
Procedure in the Production

Step 1. Investigate
 Collect & discuss samples of artworks,
materials that motivated you.
 In the creation of a film or a video, the
choice should be a film that have inspired
you.
 Investigation involves research &
exploration of ideas.

Step 2. Conceptualize
 Through brainstorming, feedback, reflection
and evaluation for the production written or
visual exploration of ideas should be listed.
 Ideas can randomly & spontaneously pop
out. Weighing pros & cons of ideas will
determine its corresponding merits.
 Choosing these relevant ideas & seeking for
feedback from other people should be
documented.

Step 3. Set the Objectives
 The objectives and purpose of the product
should be elaborated in this past.
 The purpose should be discussed as well as
the expected outcome of the artwork.

Step 4. Assess the Audience
 It is necessary to describe the audience.
Their expectations, attitudes and knowledge
about the product or artwork should be
explained in this area.

Step 5. Create the Written plan
 The written plan will serve as the guide for
the entire creation of the product.
 Varied art activities means differences in
approaches & techniques.
 Log lines for films and shot list for
photography can be used.
Log Line –a one-sentence summary of a
television program, film, or book that states
the central conflict of the story, often
providing both a synopsis of the story’s plot &
an emotional “hook” to stimulate interest.

Step 6. Create the Visual plan
 Work on the visual plan which will actually
determine the flow of the story according on
the detailed storyboards, flowcharts etc.

What is a Storyboard?

 A graphic organizer in the form of


illustrations or images displayed in sequence
for the purpose of pre-visualizing a motion
picture, animation, motion graphic or
interactive media sequence.
