2. INTRODUCTION

 Industrial training (INTRA) is a compulsory requirement of

graduation for the UniKL students either in Diploma or Degree
Programmes.

 Students need to undergo the training at the chosen company for

16 weeks which started from 31st July 2017 until 20th November
2017.

 INTRA is a concept to introduce UniKL students to industrial

culture and working environment in order to enhance and
increase the students’ employability.

 During the internship, students will be monitored by a company

supervisor that had been selected to assist them in completing
the given task or projects.

3. OBJECTIVE

To expose students in real industrial and working environment

besides providing vast experiences.

To enhance student knowledge and abilities

Make a good relation for both UniKL and the practical

companies involved as they shared the social obligation
together.

Internship is one of the medium for UniKL to identify industries

current needs, hence improving any weakness discovered.

6. JOB TASK AND ASSIGNMENT PROJECT

 During the 16 weeks of internship, trainee was assigned to Quality Assurance

Department at Prent (M) Sdn Bhd.

 The first two weeks, trainee has to do on job training as an expose to what QA mainly
job scope

 After finished with on job training, trainee was given these job task:

1. Supplier Measuring Tool Correlation

2. Process Validation: PQ
Study

3. Medical Tray Test 4. Statistical Analysis

6.1 SUPPLIER MEASURING TOOL: CORRELATION STUDY

Objective
• To qualify supplier measurement system
• Quantifying data accuracy and offset
value between Prent and supplier
measurement system
• Mitigate the risk of non-conformities being
shipped to Prent Magna Mike equipment use to
measure the thickness at Prent
Task

• Study the result of measuring tools

between Prent and supplier; Copag,
Danapac, Macro and Shinkong
• Use 10 different range of thickness as
samples and measure the samples using
magna mike (Prent side).
• Identify the Correlation and Matching
Different range of thickness
results using JMP software
samples

6.1 SUPPLIER MEASURING TOOL: CORRELATION STUDY

Lesson Learn

• Based on the correlation and matched pairs analysis, trainee had learned the
criteria that need to fulfill to ensure the variable is correlate and matched. If one
of the matching criteria is not meet, then a conversion equation will be applied.

• Able to identify and validate thickness equipment from supplier and Prent

• Identify the bias offset value between Prent and supplier

• Know how to practically use JMP software

6.2 PRODUCT QUALIFICATION (PQ)

Objective
• To ensure consistently produces a Production Part Approval Process
products that meets all requirement under (PPAP) or IQ, OQ, and PQ helps
anticipated condition manufacturers and customer
communicate and approve
• As part of documentation to get approvals production design, tooling, and
from customer regarding the product before process of before, during and after
HVM manufacturing.

Task

• Create Attribute and Visual inspection PQ report was focus on the

form that consist of customer requirement product to ensure the
product produced meets
and specification based on customer customer requirement and
workmanship specification.
• Use of Minitab software to identify the Cpk
for each critical dimension for PCS Report

6.2 PRODUCT QUALIFICATION (PQ)

Cpk results using Minitab

Lesson Learn
•For Product Qualification, company need to ensure the critical dimension of
product is meets customer requirement
•The documentation that need to be include in the report are; GR&R Analysis,
PMP, Attribute and Visual Inspection form and PCS report
•If the Cpk is not meet Prent requirement then the product approval will not be
passed until Cpk is higher than 1.33

6.3 MEDICAL TRAY TEST PROTOCOL

Objective

•To determine the maximum compressive force which medical tray can
sustain.

•To understand the medical tray behavior under compression.

Task

• Helps with medical tray protocol and procedure on how to use the
compression tester towards medical packaging

•The procedure is needed as it will guide through testing such what

force, speed and load should be use and set, how to set up the tray on
compression tester, how to read and save the data result, and data
analysis.

6.4 STATISTICAL ANALYSIS

Objective

• To create Control Limits based on CMM Result

• To compare the new control limits with previous lot
• To analyze a process
• Determine if a process is stable or unstable
• Take actions to achieve and maintain a stable process

Task

•Use of JMP Software to create new control limits based on critical

dimension
• Identify that all Cpk for each dimension is pass 1.33 (Prent
requirement)
