paper.
BROADCAST MEDIA
Broadcast media
refers to mass media
outlets such as
television, and radio
stations.
ONLINE MEDIA
Includes software,
digital images, digital
video, video game,
web pages, and
websites, social media
such as MP3 , and
electronic books.

refers to any printed
copies (Newspapers,
magazines, etc.)

organization.

internet.

printed or electronic
report containing
news concerning of
the activities of a
business or an
organization.
• Freelancers – writers,
web designers, TV
presenters, radio
producers who doesn’t
work for the company
full-time, also hired by
different companies
for certain jobs.

• Media Industry appears to be more concerned in


deciding what is the best agency, sales team, and
advertisers. Industry faces many challenges and
issues driven by economy, technology, and increased
difficulty of the category.

• Direct Political Actor;
• Press reveals the
government’s plans that

• Play an accountability role concerning the private sector
and the non-governmental organization, reporting their
every actions in the news and making sure that they do not
harm the public.
MEDIA AND INFORMATION IN:

1. Economy
-Media economics are the economic polices and
practices of media companies and disciplines
including news industry, journalism, mobile
communication, internet and public relations.
2. Education
-Mass media are the educational medium for the
mass media. Mankind gets a great deal of
information from the widespread mass media
newspaper, tv and social medias.
3. Social
-Social media in general include all the means of mass
communication that are used by the public in general
to interact with the rest of the society. Social media are
playing a great role in integrating the world as we
know
4. Politics
-Social media platforms provide new ways to
encourage citizen’s engagement in political life
where elections and electoral campaigns have a
central role

• Anything you do can be seen by other people
• Keep the negativity to yourself
• Don’t post sexual, religious, political and
graphic material
• Never fight with anyone on social networking
sites
ABUSES OF MEDIA AND
INFORMATION
•Other people using social networks to
abuse, such as hacking, scamming,
and cyber bullying. They use different
account or fake account to hide
themselves.
MISUSE OF MEDIA AND
INFORMATION
Defamation- people use social networks to express
their anger and defame other people which
can lower the victim’s reputation.

False and Unreliable Information- Sharing false


information through social networks.
