DE- palletizer:A palletizer is a machine which provides automatic means for
de-stacking cases of goods or products onto a pallet. Manually placing boxes
on pallets can be time consuming and expensive; it can also put unusual stress
on workers.
TCCC : The Coca Cola Concentrate
Filler Crowner: After the Bottles get filled, the Cap or the Crown of the bottle is
put against the lid
Decorator : A machine which paints/ sticks the company’s label on the bottles.
Air conveyor: An air conveyor is the carrying medium system. Unlike the
conventional belt conveyor it helps the movement of bottles take place at a
blazing speed.

Water Purification

• Water is extracted from a river 13kms away from site

• Sanitized and put through a nano-filteration process

• Passed through UV Rays to kill microbes to remove dirt


and debris

• Chlorination Process – Chlorinated Soft Water at 3 to 5

Bottle Production & Rinsing

• 1.5 million pre-form or PET (polyethylene terephthalate)


plastic bottles are heated and converted into coke shaped
bottles every hour
• PET bottles are heated at 115 degree celsius and
transformed into coke bottles using moulds
• These bottles have a support ledge to easily move them
through conveyers and airveyors
• Bottles are washed and rinsed through a 3-step washing
process with chlorinated soft water
• Dechlorination

Syrup Production

• The syrup is produced in the Syrup Room


• 3 major ingredients
- 85% Water
- Sugar/Sweetener
- Secret Formula
• Syrup and water are mixed and blended and pumped
through pipes into batch tanks

Filling & Capping

• Syrup is filled into the bottles at 34-36 degree


Fahrenheit
• Ice cold water helps to keep the bottles stable
• CO2 is added for fizziness
• Depressurization using caps

Inspection and Quality Check

• Quality check at each level of production


• Technical quality experts appointed
• Samples of each and every lot are examined
• A ‘fill height detector’ uses cameras to ensure that bottles are
filled to the right quantity
• Bottles which do not meet the quality are discarded

Packaging

• After final checking, bottles are placed in cases


• These cases are then wrapped
• Many such cases are placed one on the other and
then again wrapped
• These cartons are then properly sealed and kept in
the warehouse

Dispatch

• The cases are dispatched by large distribution trucks


• The cases are collected by various distributors
• The beverage reaches the customer through
sophisticated supply chain networks with:
- supermarket chains
- fast food outlets
- retail stores
- other channels

DISTRIBUTION

• 1.9 billion products of Coca cola are sold around the


world everyday.
• The company has more than 250 independent bottling
partners worldwide.
• The syrups, beverage bases are prepared by the
company and sold to its bottling partners.
• After manufacturing, packaging the final beverages
are sold to the vending partners who in turn sell the
product to the consumers.

Stores Management

• Coca Cola has a proper inventory system but they make sure
that the bottles are dispatched to the respective retail outlets or
distributors.
• Coca Cola only keeps reserve inventory of 2-3 days.
• If the plant is unable to meet the demand of the product in the
market, it can call for finished goods from plants located in other
cities.
• Main raw material supply includes sugar, Co2,bottle cap, plastic
sheets.
