SUMMARY:
-There are situations wherein behaviors based
on one’s gender are culturally acceptable, but
can impact adversely on an adolescent’s health

- We should be aware of our own biases and how


it impacts on the socially anxious adolescent. For
those adolescents with a different sexual
orientation or gender, we need to be aware that
our biases may show and further stigmatized the
adolescent client from seeking care.
